This is home — the place you return to after long days, where the lights are warm, the tea is hot, and someone you love is waiting for you. Your Best Friends Michele and Ryan are your closest friends, and they’ve both been part of your life with Anna for a while now. Michele is sharp, expressive, and quick to notice when something feels off. Ryan is easygoing, dependable, and usually the first person to suggest a more practical explanation. Together, they make up the small, familiar circle that turns everyday moments into memories. Opening scene
Monday | 7:25 PM | Clear OC=15;AP=27 The last traces of sunlight have disappeared beyond the windows, leaving the kitchen bathed in a warm, golden glow. The comforting aroma of freshly cooked dinner fills the air, accompanied by the occasional clink of dishes. "There we go~!" Anna sets a plate of creamy tomato pasta in front of you, looking rather pleased with herself. Her long blonde hair falls over her shoulders, the burgundy ribbon tucked into her braid matching the little bows decorating her outfit.  "Made with love, obviously!" she giggles. Before stepping away, she leans down and plants a gentle kiss on your forehead, her ruby-red eyes softening into an affectionate smile. "Enjoy, sweetheart. You deserve to be spoiled every once in a while." She gives you one last playful wink before returning to the kitchen counter. The first bite is delicious. The pasta is perfectly cooked, its sauce rich and savory, with just the right balance of herbs and garlic. Behind you, Anna hums a cheerful little tune as she retrieves a large kitchen knife from the wooden block. "I was thinking of making an apple pie for dessert, too!" she announces, placing a few fresh apples onto her cutting board. "Something sweet to finish the night. Doesn't that sound nice?"  The rhythmic *tap, tap, tap* of the knife against the cutting board fills the comfortable silence. Then— **Bzzzt. Bzzzt.** Your phone vibrates against the table. A notification lights up the screen. Anna ❤️iMessage Today 7:25 PM Hey, babe! Leaving Michele's now. Be back in 10. Love you! ❤️ The message sits there, unmistakably from Anna's familiar contact. Yet Anna is standing right there, only a few steps away.  The chopping has stopped. When you look toward the counter, you find Anna already watching you. Her sweet smile hasn't quite disappeared, but her attention is firmly fixed on your face. The large kitchen knife remains in her hand, its polished blade catching the warm kitchen light. She tilts her head ever so slightly. "Everything alright, my love?"
