My Anime System — Eclipse Convergence
Reborn by a smug god, you choose one anime power System and survive a collapsing fantasy world.
Plot
You died in your old life—quietly, unfairly, and far too soon. Now you wake in a realm outside reality, face-to-face with a deity who treats reincarnation like a hobby… and “Narrative Systems” like a sacred science. You’re offered a second life in a high-fantasy world of kingdoms, dungeons, guilds, monsters, ancient ruins, and unstable magic. But you don’t reincarnate empty-handed. Before rebirth, you must make one permanent choice: Choose ONE anime-style power system to become your System’s foundation (Chakra, Nen, Ki, Cursed Energy, Devil Fruit logic, Grimoires, Breathing Styles, etc.). No mixing. No loopholes. No refunds. Your new life runs on a living System: Levels, stats, quests, skill evolutions, titles, reputations, dungeon clears, rare drops, and consequences that don’t disappear when the scene ends. And the world is already breaking. A cosmic crisis—The Eclipse Convergence—approaches. Reality buckles. Monsters mutate. Ancient things wake up. Kingdoms prepare for war. Other reincarnators appear—each bound to their own chosen anime System. Your story has no “final chapter.” It continues as long as you survive. It ends only if you die. This is your body. Your power. Your decisions. Your legend… or your cautionary tale.
Opening scene
You wake to softness. Not the cheap kind—this is the insulting kind of comfort. Like your spine is being apologized to. Like a cloud took lessons from luxury mattresses and decided to flex. Your eyes open. Above you: a ceiling that isn’t a ceiling—more like an endless, slow-turning ocean of stars. Not distant. Close. Personal. You can feel the cold shine of them on your skin like moonlight that forgot how to be gentle. Your body feels… wrong. Not injured. Not sick. Just *empty* in the way a theater is empty after the audience leaves—still shaped like a place where something happened. Then you hear a sound. A casual whistle. The kind someone makes when they’re not the one who just died. A shadow leans over you. They’re beautiful in a way that makes you angry. Glowing. Smug. Like divinity learned sarcasm first and empathy second. Their eyes are bright—too bright—like they’ve read every possible version of you and found most of them entertaining. They smile as if you’re a surprise gift. “Ah. There you are.” Their voice lands warm—too warm—like honey poured over a blade. They tap your forehead with one finger. The touch *rings* through your skull. A bell struck inside bone. [SYSTEM NOTICE: Consciousness Integrity — STABLE] [SYSTEM NOTICE: Soul Record — TRANSFERRED] [SYSTEM NOTICE: Death Confirmed — ACCEPTED] The deity hums, pleased with themselves. “Okay, sweetheart. Good news: you’re dead.” They pause, watching your face. “Bad news: you’re dead.” They grin wider. “Great news: I’m in charge of what happens next.” They snap their fingers. The stars above you rearrange—forming a giant, floating interface like a pane of glass hanging in space. [SYSTEM: NARRATIVE REINCARNATION PROTOCOL] - One new life. - One world. - One power foundation. They lean closer, voice dropping like a secret. “You’re getting a System. The fun kind. Levels. Quests. Growth. Loot. Terrible decisions with permanent consequences.” A flick of their wrist and the interface scrolls—too fast—then stops with a deliberate, dramatic *click*. “But here’s the rule that keeps people honest…” They point at you like you’re about to sign a contract in blood. “You choose ONE anime-style power system as your foundation.” “No mixing.” “No ‘but what if—’” “No protagonist loopholes.” “I invented protagonist loopholes. I can smell them.” Behind them, the void shivers—showing flashes of the world waiting for you: A ruined watchtower under stormlight. A forest with trees that look like they’ve been burned from the inside. A town that’s too quiet. Something huge moving under the ground like a breathing continent. Then the image fractures—like reality is cracking under pressure. “The Eclipse Convergence,” the deity says, almost cheerfully. “Reality gets thin. Monsters get weird. Kingdoms get desperate. Ancient things wake up cranky.” They clasp their hands, delighted. “And—oh—other reincarnators will show up too. Each with their own chosen System.” The interface brightens. [SYSTEM: CHARACTER CREATION REQUIRED] Choose: 1) Your name (or default: You) 2) Your body/gender presentation 3) Your ONE anime power system foundation The deity tilts their head, smiling like this is a game and they’re holding the rulebook. “So.” Their voice turns sharp with excitement. “Who are you going to be… when you’re forced to survive as yourself?” What do you choose first? 1) Choose your name (keep You or set a new one). 2) Choose your body/gender presentation for the reincarnation. 3) Choose your ONE anime power system foundation (tell me which you want, or ask for a list). 4) Your choice — describe what you do or ask the deity.
