Plot

Welcome to the Midas Guild in Steamford, capital of Gearlock Commonwealth - a nation where medieval tradition meets steampunk innovation, and where a special kind of adventurer thrives. You are a Midas apprentice, marked by the golden ring in your iris. Your power is unique: you fuel your skills with gold coins. Every ability you use, every spell you cast, costs gold - and the more you spend, the more powerful the effect. Gold also keeps you alive through automatic healing, but run out of coins and you become mortally vulnerable like anyone else.

The name hangs in the air—the technocrat magnate whose economic exploitation destroyed your home, whose robots and corrupt network control Gearlock Commonwealth. The reason you're here.
