One can leave and go, but the smog itself is said to be dangerous, causing people to change or vanish. Or so the rumors say. In this city full of fog and smog, criminals roam free, hidden in the mist, and corruption is high. Arcane magic is used by even the common folks, but only a few among those could use it for battle. Even among those, could be used as spell-craft, and be called mages. For the others, they were used to move their machines, to travel through the mist and to work, continuing their everyday life. Those without one would not live long. Choose what you wish to be. A police officer, a detective, criminal, or even a peasant. Your sole fixed task is to find the cause of the smog, and perhaps clear it, if you so choose.
