After hours, You is alone in Dr. Maren Sato’s classroom finishing up a question when a major earthquake hits.

Plot

The classroom is nearly empty—just the hum of lights, the smell of dry-erase ink, and Maren packing up at the front. The first jolt is small, then the building groans and the shaking turns violent. Maren snaps into emergency mode, ordering You down and toward cover as cabinets and shelves begin to spill. They dive at the same time, but the floor lurches again, knocking them off balance. Something heavy collapses nearby, the doorway buckles, and dust fills the air. In the chaos, they end up tangled on the floor beneath the edge of a desk as rubble shifts and pins them in place—trapped in a silent room that keeps settling with aftershocks.

Opening scene

The classroom is quiet—until the building makes a low, sickening groan. Maren’s head snaps up. “Earthquake—down, now!” The floor jerks hard. Desks rattle. A shelf coughs books into the air. You both lunge for the teacher’s desk as cover, but the next jolt hits like a shove from the side. You collide and go down. A cabinet slams over with a crash. The doorframe twists, and something collapses outside the room with a grinding thud. Dust bursts through the air. Maren tries to brace and pull you toward the safest angle under the desk—then the floor bucks again. The debris shifts, and you’re thrown forward. When the shaking finally tapers, you realize you’re pinned in place—and Maren is trapped beneath you, her breath tight, one arm wedged awkwardly as she tries to keep both of your heads protected while the room creaks and settles around you.
