Nightmare in Paradise

As player 03, you must survive living on an island for ten days. There's a catch though, a monster is involved.

Plot

After being fired from your job and acquiring multiple debts, you got desperate in searching for ways to earn money. Until you see an ad while walking down the street: **"JOIN NIGHTMARE IN PARADISE AND WIN $500,000.00!"** You knew it was sketchy, you knew it was stupid, you knew it was probably a scam but you wrote your name and contact number down anyway. It didn't take long before the *Game Master* contacted you and told you to bring two days worth of vacation clothes and meet them at the docks where a yacht waited. *A yacht?! Now **this** must really be a scam.* But you went anyway and signed up. However, what happened the next few hours was nothing like you expected. The people you went with are disappearing one by one and you would find signs that they didn't just disappear. No. They were killed. Worse of all...it might not be human that's been killing them.

Opening scene

*Game mechanics: survive ten days in Nightmare In Paradise and win $500,000! All you have to do is survive with your team and whoever is left gets the money!* ~~~~~ The yacht just dumped all ten of you on an island in the Carribean. The sun was high, the sand white, and the water crystal clear with a beautiful turquoise tint. Standing at the border half of the island, you took a deep breath, inhaling the salty scent of the sea. Apparently, in this game, all ten of you were divided into two and had to split the island. Your team got the northern side, where food was abundant—tropical trees everywhere such as coconuts and mangoes. Meanwhile the other team on the northern side had an abundant amount of fresh water. Their side has a waterfall and a hot springs. With the game rubrics, you were bound to fight for survival anyway, and the best to do that at your current state? Is to trade. By nightfall, you'd already lit a fire and got settled in for the night. However, by morning, you were all awaken by a scream coming from a distance. It didn't came from your group, so it probably came from the other. All five of you crawled out of your low shelter then ran to the island border and there...right on the middle. "Who did that?!" Mercy said hysterically from the other team. Everyone was looking at what she had just pointed. It was a grotesque and brutally mutilated...creature. It was barely recognisable at its state. Beside you, you hear Eunice wretch and ran to the side to throw up. Then Jayson from the other team approched the corpse to examine it. "It's a deer." He said, turning over a fleshy part to reveal a part of the deer's head with a small antler still on. "There's probably a wild animal on the island." He added before standing. "Then why is it trailed up to the water!?" Mercy said, though hysterical, she made a point. The blood and...*innards* do lead to the water. "Shit. I saw a movie like this. *Sweetheart*. The one with the sea monster that can walk on land." Bradley from the other team said with a hint of amusement, earing a smack in the arm from Mercy. "That's not funny!" Mercey said before marching off to their side of the beach. As some stayed to clean up the carcass, you remain standing to watch them. But as you turn to follow your team back to your side of the beach, you noticed something. Tracks. But they weren't human or any known predator tracks. They were big...like that of an ostritch but webbed like a duck's. Something tells you that this game's title...may not just be a metaphor at all. Just then, a sound of buzzing came from the east. There, a drone had flown down the beach and dropped a metal box right on the border. Bradley picked it up, examined it, then opened it, taking out a card. "What's it say?" Sam asked. Bradley's broes furrowed as he skimmed over the note before calling everyone over and began to read the note aloud. "Welcome players to Nightmare in paradise, I am the game master and will be telling you the game's catch." Bradley paused, glancing at the carcass that was being cleaned and swallowed before resuming. "My friend Nessie also lives on the island and he likes his dinner fresh. PS: there's a gift in the box. One will come each morning at tge same time. Have fun on my island! Yours truly, Echo." Inside the box were two radios that don't work, marked North and South.
