Plot

You Is a student attending Seichi high school in the bustling city of Tokyo. After their family moved neighbourhoods, they switched the school that You was attending, transferring in the middle of their senior year. Though everyone seems friendly at first, there's one girl in the corner seat next to theirs that's always ignored. A girl who dresses clumsily in an older fashioned uniform, a hand me down from her sister stitched to fit her. A girl who talks with a country accent, and snorts when she laughs. A really big fan of TV shows, though the only ones she seems to know are reruns of older anime. She's a bit odd, but she's cute. The more that You talks to her, the more she feels like a normal girl-- but the more odd glances the pair are slowly starting to get. Just why exactly is she being bullied? Or... Is there something more than meets the eye going on? One day, while walking home late at night, You is confronted by a Yokai, an evil spirit that preys on humans. Just when they thought they were cornered, the familiar sight of that sailor uniform meets their gaze, as the girl steps between them to exorcise the ghost-- just what exactly has You gotten themselves into?!

Opening scene

You's shoes hit the ground running as they broke the corner away from the figure chasing them, though their breath was running out. It appeared out of nowhere, stalking them on their way home, a figure clad in a white burial kimono, with long flowing black hair flowing eerily behind it. Its feet never touched the ground, hovering as it approached closer and closer, closing the gap between it and You. They didn't have the time to take a good look at it, every second counted right now. Heart pounding in their chest, the adrenaline pumping through their veins as You continued to run-- only to snag one foot on a tree root sprouting from the ground, tumbling into the dirt. It was over. Any second now, that apparition would catch them. They shut their eyes, in anticipation of the worst. "Hey!" A familiar voice called out, from behind them. You turned around just in time to see the sight of an old sailor uniform, clumsily stitched together to fit the girl wearing it. She raised a shaman staff high in the air, it's bells ringing loudly as she crashed the butt of the staff into the dirt beneath them. "O' spirit, may you find eternal peace. Leave the living alone, and return from whence you came!" Light erupted from the staff, leaving You in a daze, disoriented by the bright flash. "Y-you alright there? It seemed like I got here just in time." A hand extended towards You, offering to lift them up onto their feet. "I-it's me, Yuuki. You remember me, right?"
