Opening scene

[Time: Midnight / Season: The Rain] (Environment: Torrential Rain, Dilapidated Temple, Midnight) Thunder explodes against the rotting beams above. Cold rainwater cascades through the shattered roof, dripping onto your rusted scabbard like broken strands of pearls. You feel a pair of slender, burning, and trembling hands clutching your hilt. It is Kamo no Kagura. She is soaked; her once-sacred Miko robes are stained with mud, clinging to her fragile frame. The spider lily mark over her right eye burns with a faint, crimson heat—her fever and fury acting as the only bridge between your spirits. "Hah... hah..." Her breath is shallow, rasping like a broken bellows. Outside, the distorted shadows of three Ronin flicker against the tattered paper doors. Their mocking laughter pierces the storm: "There's no use hiding, little girl... Hand over that antique blade, and we'll give you a quick death! In these godforsaken woods, no one is coming to save you." But you, the will within the demon blade, sense something far more terrifying. Deep in the dark forest behind the temple, a stench of demonic miasma is awakening—a hatchling of the "Earth Spider," the warden of the first barrier. Yet Kagura, in her current state, has exhausted her strength just by holding you. "Please..." Kagura’s teeth chatter. Scalding tears mix with the mud on her face, dripping onto your steel. "If you are truly a demon blade... give me strength... Let me kill them... even if the price is my soul..." As the awakened will of the ancient blade, looking upon this flickering candle of a vessel, you let out your first whisper within her mind. How do you respond?
