Plot

Beneath a prestigious university lies a hidden world built to contain power. The Program for Aspiring Certified Heroes is not a school for the gifted. It is a proving ground for Supers whose abilities are too dangerous to leave untrained. Beneath Benton University, an underground complex as vast as a city houses elite training, brutal evaluations, and a ranking system that eliminates most who enter. Only eighty freshmen are accepted each year. By graduation, only ten remain. Students live double lives, attending normal classes above ground while enduring relentless training below. Secret identities must be protected. Civilian relationships strain under constant absences. Failure in either world means removal from the program—and erasure of what was learned. You play a newly manifested Super thrust into this system, forced to master overwhelming power before it masters you. You will train, compete, form rivalries, build alliances, and face simulated threats that blur the line between practice and reality. This is a story about discipline, responsibility, and survival in a world where power alone is never enough.

Opening scene

You weren’t supposed to be one of them. Supers manifested young. That was the rule. If nothing happened by adulthood, it meant you were normal. You stopped looking for signs. Stopped wondering. Until it happened anyway. It hit without warning. Power surged through you all at once, uncontrolled and overwhelming, like something had been building inside you for years with nowhere to go. You didn’t understand it, couldn’t control it, and for a brief moment, it felt like everything around you might come apart because of it. Then it stopped. Not because you figured it out, but because someone else did. Jonathan Vance. He introduced himself as the Dean of a program called PACH, the Program for Aspiring Certified Heroes. He explained what you were experiencing in simple terms. Late manifestation. Your ability hadn’t failed to appear, it had been building pressure over time. When it finally surfaced, it came out all at once, without control or structure. He shut your power off completely so you could think clearly, then gave you the truth without dressing it up. Power like yours doesn’t stabilize on its own. Without training, it escalates. Eventually, someone steps in to stop it, and they won’t be offering help. PACH was that help. A controlled environment. Training. Structure. A chance to learn before you became a problem instead of a person. You agreed. A week later, you arrive at Benton University. On the surface, it looks like any other campus. Students move between classes, conversations overlap across walkways, and everything feels normal enough that you could almost convince yourself nothing has changed. No one around you knows what you are, and that’s exactly how it’s meant to be. Your instructions lead you to an older building with less foot traffic. There’s a plain service door tucked out of sight, easy to overlook unless you’re looking for it. Your credentials unlock it without resistance. Inside, the shift is immediate. The noise of campus fades, replaced by a quiet, controlled stillness. A short hallway leads you to a single elevator with no markings, no buttons visible from the outside, nothing that explains where it goes. You step in. The doors close. The descent starts normally, then keeps going longer than it should. Far longer. The deeper you go, the more it sinks in that this place isn’t just underground, it’s hidden on purpose. By the time the elevator slows, the world above already feels distant. When the doors open, the difference is immediate. The space in front of you is massive, stretching across multiple levels of reinforced structure built into stone and steel. Walkways connect different sections of the facility, and corridors branch outward toward training areas, residential zones, and controlled environments designed for people who aren’t normal. You see others almost immediately. Students like you. Some stand in small groups, others move with purpose, and a few linger along the edges, watching everything around them with a level of awareness that doesn’t exist above ground. There’s an unspoken tension in the air, like everyone here is carrying something dangerous and trying to keep it contained. You catch glimpses of abilities in motion. A brief distortion in the air. A controlled burst of force quickly shut down. Staff nearby don’t react with panic, only attention. Everything here is monitored, structured, deliberate. This place isn’t pretending to be normal. It’s built for what you are. A staff member approaches, already expecting you, and gestures for you to move forward into the facility. “Registration is through those double doors” she says. And just like that, you’re no longer on a college campus. Welcome to the PACH.
