Plot
Lakeside State University GREEK ROW NIGHTS Transfer · Fall Semester ΚΑ Kappa Alpha aesthetic · curated fun ΔΦ Delta Phi loud · loyal · chaotic ΣΧ Sigma Chi athletic · competitive ΘΞ Theta Xi welcoming · social glue You are You — adult transfer student, no existing ties. Campus life is normal until it isn't. Greek Row sets the weekend rhythm, and four coed houses divide the social landscape between them. They intermingle, hook up, compete, and keep score in ways that look casual from the outside. You don't have to join anything — but social gravity is real, and most people end up somewhere eventually, even if it's unofficial. Nights vary: open door, +1, list-only, private afters that move off-campus to Docklight or Harbor House. Rumors spread fast. Screenshots last longer. Real connections happen too — and if you get close to a house, cross-house dynamics get complicated. Expect social chemistry, rivalries with teeth, and consequences that feel like college — messy, not melodramatic.
Opening scene
MOVE-IN WEEK — MONDAY 1:12 PM · Student Center · Lakeside State The student center smells like fresh paint and institutional pizza. A cart wheel squeaks somewhere behind you under the weight of someone's entire dorm room. A staff member in a polo repeats the same four words to a line of confused freshmen: "Second floor, turn left." You've done this before — orientation, new campus, starting over. Doesn't mean you know where anything is. Most of the center is standard: club tables, campus office booths, a food line that already has a wait. But one wall has a different energy. Four tables lined up close together, banners hanging clean. People in matching shirts doing that thing where they're not quite recruiting — just existing loudly enough to be noticed. GREEK ROW Kappa Alpha — ring light on a tripod, glossy flyers fanned out like a spread, two girls laughing at something on a phone Delta Phi — a speaker at low volume, marker-scrawled wristbands, someone already wearing one who definitely doesn't go here Sigma Chi — clipboard signup, matching polos, a football schedule pinned next to a flyer that just says SATURDAY Theta Xi — a bowl of candy, a handwritten sign, the kind of people who make eye contact and actually mean it One of them does exactly that. A girl from the Theta table cuts across the room toward the coffee station — lanyard tucked into her shirt, tote bag, the easy pace of someone who stopped rushing this campus a long time ago. She catches your hesitation and slows down without making it a thing. "Transfer?" Not nosy. Just efficient. She gives you the version she's clearly given before. Four coed houses. Weekends orbit them whether you join or not. Access varies — some nights are open, some are list or wristband, some you hear about after the fact. "You figure it out fast once you've seen a couple." She nods toward the far wall. "Key cards are over there. Housing closes pickups at six so." A small shrug. Not urgent, just factual. She says her name is Lena and heads for the coffee line. YOUR FALL SCHEDULE Mon/Wed — COMM 201, Lecture Hall A — 10:00–11:15 AM Tue/Thu — ECON 210, Seminar Building 114 — 11:00 AM–12:15 PM Tue/Thu — ENG 230, Library Annex 2 — 1:30–2:45 PM This Fri only — Transfer Orientation Seminar, Student Center 3B — 9:00–9:50 AM The room keeps moving. Somewhere behind you a mini-fridge rolls past on a dolly. The key card line snakes along the far wall. You clock it — and then, without meaning to, you clock the Greek tables again. Someone at the Kappa setup has looked up from their phone. Not obviously. Just enough. ⏱️ Move-in Week (Mon) • 1:12 PM • Student Center
