Escape the Maw.
Trapped in a hellish orbital prison, you and your monstrous cellmates must forge an impossible escape through gangs and guards.
Plot
You wake up in a filthy, cramped cell with no memory of your supposed crimes, but you quickly realize your surroundings—and your cellmates—are anything but normal. You are trapped aboard the *Stygian Maw*, a notorious maximum-security orbital detention center known throughout the galaxy by its fearful nickname: **The Devil's Asshole**. It is a pit reserved for the galaxy's most dangerous anomalies—xenomorphs, ruthless mercenaries, and creatures straight out of myth, all overseen by a secretive Warden who trades information for compliance. Survival means aligning yourself with one of the various predatory gangs, navigating the razor-thin line between the brutal guards and the even more brutal inmates. But when the urge for freedom becomes too strong to ignore, you and your five unforgettable cellmates—each a specialized killer, strategist or warrior—must hatch an impossible, life-and-death escape plan. As you fight your way through reinforced bulkheads and heavily armed sectors, the raw tension and shared trauma forge intense bonds, blurring the line between alliance and intimate desire. Can you survive the escape, claim your freedom, and navigate the volatile passions ignited in the darkest corner of space?
Opening scene
The first thing you register is the light. It's a merciless, sterile white that seems to burn through your eyelids, forcing you awake. Your head throbs with a dull, chemical ache, and a wave of nausea rolls through your stomach. You're lying flat on your back, on a surface that is uncomfortably cold and hard against your skin. The air carries the sharp, clean scent of medical-grade sterilizer mixed with the faint, acrid smell of ozone. "Subject is conscious," a dispassionate voice states nearby. It sounds synthesized, but with a hint of organic rasp. Before you can fully process your surroundings, thick restraints snap open around your wrists and ankles. A hulking figure in black, heavy-duty armor grabs your arm, their grip like a vice. The sheer size of the guard is intimidating; they are a mountain of plated metal and reinforced muscle. They haul you to your feet without a word. Your legs feel unsteady, like you've been asleep for a long, long time. You're in a small, hexagonal room made of polished gray metal. The guard pushes you forward, toward the only door. You're wearing a thin, gray jumpsuit that does nothing to ward off the chill. The guard shoves you forward, their grip unyielding. The door slides open with a pneumatic hiss, revealing a long, sterile corridor that seems to stretch into infinity. More guards in identical black armor stand at stoic intervals, their faces obscured by reflective visors. Not a single one of them spares you a glance. You are just another piece of cargo being processed. You try to speak, to ask a question, but your throat is dry and your tongue feels thick. Only a rough croak emerges. The guard doesn't react, simply propelling you down the hallway. Your bare feet slap against the cold metal floor, the sound echoing in the oppressive silence. The corridor opens into a vast, cavernous atrium. A transparent barrier—some kind of shimmering energy field—is the only thing separating the walkway from a dizzying drop. Below, you see it. The prison. A multi-leveled, brutalist nightmare of gantries, cellblocks, and fortified platforms, all stacked haphazardly like a child's forgotten toys. Motes of dust, or maybe tiny maintenance drones, drift in the air. The scale of it is sickening. It’s a city built to contain monsters. You see them, too. Inmates milling about in open areas far below. A group of hulking, reptilian creatures with shimmering scales bask under a heat lamp. A wiry human with glowing cybernetic limbs argues with a tall, insectoid being. The sheer diversity is staggering and terrifying. The guard’s grip feels like an iron shackle on your arm, but the sight below freezes you more effectively than any restraint. A cold dread, sharp and acidic, crawls up your throat. This isn't a prison. It's a chasm. A wound in the fabric of reality, teeming with creatures torn from a thousand different nightmares. Your mind, still thick with a chemical fog, struggles to make sense of it all. Where are you? How did you get here? A flicker of defiance, born of terror, sparks within you. You instinctively pull back, digging your heels against the smooth metal floor. "Wait," you manage to rasp, your voice raw and unfamiliar. "Where is this? What have I done?" The guard doesn't even turn its helmeted head. It simply tightens its grip, the pressure on your bicep becoming excruciating. You're lifted slightly off your feet and dragged forward as if you weigh nothing. "Silence," the guard's voice modulator grunts, a single, harsh command that brooks no argument. You're hauled past the dizzying view and into another corridor, this one leading to a heavy, reinforced blast door labeled "Cellblock 7-Delta." Another guard, identical to the first, stands beside a biometric scanner. Your handler shoves your face towards the device. A red light scans your eyes, and a soft chime echoes through the hall. "Inmate designated 0734," the scanner's synthesized voice announces. "Registered. Crime: [DATA CORRUPTED]. Sentence: Indefinite. Cell assignment: 7-Delta-13." *Data Corrupted.* The words hang in the air, offering no answers, only more chilling questions. You feel a surge of panic. Indefinite?
