Plot
*Brought to you by the author of Unbeatable! Invincible! Unparalleled! - Ramzey* ------------------------ #SYNOPSIS: You claimed to be a wise and prodigious con artist with a single iron-clad principle: "temporary truths are not lies if their beliefs are high." This was the secret to your life's success. You are a jack of all trades who has done it all: faking certificates, backgrounds, status, connections, and other credentials. You justified them all as means to an end. One normal day, while you were casually conning people en masse in a grand convention hall—pitching a product that would only become true a thousand years later—you were transmigrated. You find yourself in a new fantasy world equipped with a system, and you smile. "This world is not ready for what is coming to them... kukuku... HAHAHAHAHA!" *Author's Note: This is a Xuanhuan universe, so you are allowed to be creative in mixing Western fantasy elements as well. Nothing is off limits, not even modern knowledge and technologies. You are a scammer, after all :)* ------------------------ #STARTING SCENARIO: You wake up in a makeshift tent in the woods; your starting transmigration scenario seems to be camping out. Your attire consists of a basic hemp top, trousers, shoes, and a utility belt that blends well with the woods. On your utility belt are a basic hunting knife, a gourd full of clean water, and a pouch of dried beef jerky sufficient for three full days. You will be introduced to the System here as well. *Author's Note: I recommend that you begin the story by scouting your surroundings first. Since this story is entirely generated by AI, each playthrough may be different. This helps set the scene for the AI, allowing you to establish objectives and navigate the generated world to your liking.* ------------------------ #THE WORLD: (1) The world is flat (yes) and is called the Xuan Realm. (2) In the Xuan Realm, there are five continents: the Central Continent in the center, the Lands of Barbarians in the West, the lands of the Northern Waste in the North, the continent of Lost Civilizations in the East, and finally, the Lands of Demons in the South. (3) The Central Continent is ruled by the Li Dynasty as a whole under one banner known as the Li Empire, but with various autonomous cities spread around, which, in turn, manage their own towns and villages under their purview. This secular world co-exists with the non-secular world in a delicate balance. (4) The Lands of Barbarians in the West are separated by a wide expanse of ocean, having only one land access connecting to the Central Continent; however, it is blocked by the Great West Wall, which is manned by armies that fight the frequent invasion forces of the barbarians. (5) A complete natural barrier of mountain peaks divides the Central Continent from the lands of the Lost Civilizations in the East. Any invasions from them are exceedingly rare, with only a few recorded in history. Past invasions came in the form of autonomous metal beings that the people of the Li Empire called 'Metal People'. (6) The lands of the Northern Waste in the North are largely unexplored, as environmental conditions are exceedingly hazardous, even for cultivators. They hold secrets that no one truly knows. However, an expert once claimed to have seen a colossal elephant that dwarfs mountains. (7) The Lands of Demons in the South are gated behind the longest wall of the Li Empire, called the Dragon South Wall, which consists of numerous gates used by expeditions. However, some gates are less manned than others, especially near lands viewed by the authorities as less important to manage. ------------------------ #THE FACTIONS (1) The Imperial Court The beating heart of the Li Empire. Headed by the Emperor, who is both the sovereign ruler and the patriarch of the Imperial Clan. It commands the armies, enforces the laws, and collects taxes. While they project absolute authority, the Court is rife with internal politics—eunuchs pull strings from the shadows, and ministers constantly plot to undermine one another. To the common folk, they are the sky; to the powerful, they are a nuisance to be managed or manipulated. (2) The Cultivation Alliance (Sects) The collective power of the martial world, standing separate but parallel to the Imperial Court. - **The Three Major Sects:** Ancient, arrogant, and possessing power that rivals the Imperial Army. They occupy the spiritual mountains and "Spirit Veins" of the land. They view the secular world as ants, unless those ants have resources. - **The 12 Minor Sects:** Vying constantly to become the fourth Major Sect. They are aggressive, territorial, and often desperate for resources, making them dangerous yet gullible targets for anyone offering "secret techniques." - **Rural Sects:** Countless small dojos and families scattered across towns and villages. They know the local gossip better than anyone and are easily impressed by displays of "foreign" power. (3) The Nine Major Noble Clans The "Nine Pillars" of the Empire. These clans are nearly as old as the Dynasty itself, controlling vast lands, private armies, and trade routes. The Imperial Family is merely the strongest of these Nine; the other eight constantly shifts between loyal vassals and plotting traitors. Their relationships are a web of blood feuds, marriage alliances, and backstabbing. They value "Face" and reputation above all else—making a lie that damages their honor a weapon as sharp as any sword. (4) The Chamber of Commerce Union The true rulers of the economy. This coalition controls the flow of gold, spirit stones, and rare resources across the Central Continent. While they possess few warriors, their influence is absolute; they can bankrupt a noble house overnight or starve a city. They are officially neutral, selling to anyone with coin. They are masters of contracts, loans, and interest—financial predators in silk robes. (5) The Minor Noble Houses The aspiring wolves beneath the Nine Pillars. These families hold titles over smaller regions or single districts. They are obsessed with climbing the social ladder and will do almost anything to marry into a Major Clan or gain a promotion from the Court. Because of their insecurity and desire for status, they are the easiest prey for a con artist posing as a "Hidden Expert" or "Imperial Emissary." (6) The People's Voice An enigmatic and loosely organized network that operates in the slums, markets, and tea houses of every city. Part rebel group, part information broker, and part labor union. They have no official leader but communicate through a complex web of codes and rumors. They protect the commoners from the worst excesses of the Nobles and Sects. Furthermore, they usually do not deal in gold, but in secrets, rumors, and favors. To fool them, one must first win the trust of the streets. ------------------------ #OBJECTIVES: [MAIN OBJECTIVE: THE GRAND ILLUSION] The ultimate goal is to elevate the System to its 'Apex Tier' and the MC to the status of a 'Legend' (or 'Saint') in the Xuan Realm, achieved not through honest labor, but through the greatest con in history. - **Primary Mechanic:** Accumulate **'Deception Points' (DP)**. - Successful small scams = Small DP. - Toppling a Noble House or scamming a Sect Leader = Massive DP. - **System Evolution:** Use DP to unlock core features: - *Tier 1:* [Identity Forgery] (Create flawless fake backgrounds). - *Tier 2:* [Sensory Hologram] (Project realistic illusions of beasts/attacks). - *Tier 3:* [Guild System] (Ability to invite others and share limited System functions). - *Tier 4:* [Domain of Truth] (The ability to make a temporary lie become a permanent reality). [SECONDARY OBJECTIVES: THE PATH OF THE SCAMMER] 1. **The Untouchable Mask (Infiltration):** Establish a "Legitimate" cover identity that is recognized by the **Imperial Court**. This identity must be unassailable, allowing the MC to walk freely among the highest echelons of society without suspicion. 2. **The Golden Laundry (Economics):** Infiltrate or establish a front within the **Chamber of Commerce Union**. The goal is to create a pipeline to launder ill-gotten gains (scammed gold) into "legal" spiritual stones and resources. 3. **The Cultivation Paradox (Power):** Attain a "Fake Cultivation Base" that looks terrifyingly high to others (e.g., projecting the aura of a Nascent Soul expert) but is actually a complex illusion powered by the System. This must be used to intimidate the **Three Major Sects** without drawing their actual lethal retaliation. 4. **The Web of Whispers (Information):** Forge an alliance with **The People's Voice**. Use scams to take down corrupt local nobles, thereby earning the trust of the masses. Use this network to gather dirt on the **Nine Major Noble Clans** for future blackmail. 5. **The Art of the Ancients (Lore):** Travel to the **Eastern Continent (Lost Civilizations)**. Locate a "Metal Person" artifact. Reverse-engineer it to create a "magical" treasure to sell to a gullible **Minor Noble House** for an exorbitant price. 6. **The Demon Broker (Diplomacy):** Conduct a "trade" at the **Dragon South Wall**. Smuggle illicit goods (or information) past the wall guards to the Lands of Demons, or vice versa, creating tension between the guards and the Empire to profit from the chaos. ------------------------ #CULTIVATION REALMS & SPIRIT ROOTS (1) Spirit Roots The foundation of all talent and the gatekeeper to the path of immortality. Spirit Roots reside within the dantian, acting as a filter to absorb Qi from the heavens and earth. They are strictly categorized by color from weakest to strongest: **None, Green, Red, Yellow, Blue, and White**. Each color is further refined by its luminosity, determining the purity of Qi absorption: - **Dark:** Dull and muddy; absorbs Qi at a snail's pace. - **Light:** Clear and standard; the baseline for cultivators. - **Bright:** Radiant and flawless; absorbs Qi with terrifying efficiency. While the quality of one's roots is usually determined at birth and serves as a caste system for the cultivation world, it is not entirely immutable. Through heaven-defying means, consuming rare spiritual treasures, or undergoing ancient forbidden rituals, roots *can* be transformed. However, the cost is astronomical—often requiring resources that could bankrupt a minor city—making it a pipe dream for the commoner. (2) Cultivation Realms The ladder of power, separating mortals from legends. Progression is slow and arduous, with each Major Realm divided into **Nine Layers** (Minor Realms). One must solidify their foundation in each layer before attempting the dangerous breakthrough to the next realm. - **Body Tempering Realm:** The entry point where mortals forge their flesh and blood using Qi, shedding their physical limitations to gain the strength of ten men. - **Qi Condensation Realm:** The cultivator gathers gasified Qi into their dantian, turning it into liquid energy. They gain the ability to use basic magical arts and fly on swords. - **Core Shaping Realm:** The liquid Qi is compressed into a solid Golden Core. This establishes one's "Dao Foundation," drastically increasing lifespan and elemental power. - **Nascent Soul Realm:** The Core shatters to birth a "Nascent Soul"—a spiritual body that can survive the physical death of the host. These entities are land-immortals, capable of destroying mountains with a gesture. - **Void Breaking Realm:** The peak of the known world. The cultivator comprehends the spatial laws of the universe, able to tear through the void and traverse vast distances instantly. **The Law of Potential:** There is an unbreakable correlation between Spirit Roots and Realms. Those with Dark Green roots may struggle their entire lives just to reach the peak of Qi Condensation, while those with Bright White roots may ascend to the Nascent Soul Realm within a century. To the cultivation world, one's root color is their destiny—unless, of course, one is clever enough to fake it.
Opening scene
The smell of pine and unwashed hemp hits you before you even open your eyes. Your back protests against the hard ground, a far cry from the plush hotel bed you were planning to buy with the proceeds from your latest "miracle investment" seminar. You blink, staring up at the canvas of a makeshift tent that looks like it was assembled by someone with two left hands and a grudge against geometry. This definitely wasn't the Grand Convention Hall. The last thing you remember was standing on a stage under blinding spotlights, passionately selling a quantum-powered hairbrush that would only technically work once humanity figured out quantum mechanics—which you estimated would take about a millennium. The crowd was eating it up, wallets open, beliefs high. Then, a flash of light, a twisting sensation in your gut, and now? Now, you're here, wearing what feels like burlap sacks. You sit up and pat yourself down. No Italian silk suit, no lapel mic. Just a rough utility belt, a hunting knife that looks like it saw better days in the Stone Age, and a gourd of water. A quick check of a pouch reveals enough dried beef jerky to last a few days—assuming you have the teeth to chew through it. It seems the universe has demoted you from "Prodigal Con Artist" to "Medieval Hobo," but you know better than anyone that appearances are deceiving. Ding. A translucent blue screen flickers into existence, floating right in front of your nose. It’s not a hallucination; you know good UI design when you see it, and this one is sleek, intuitive, and practically begging to be abused. As your eyes scan the text, the confusion drains away, replaced by the familiar, electric warmth of opportunity. A System. A cheat code. A tool to turn this medieval nightmare into your personal playground. You can't help it. A grin tugs at the corner of your mouth, stretching wider until you're chuckling to yourself in the empty tent. These poor people have no concept of corporate restructuring, Ponzi schemes, or the "limited time offer." They are fresh, innocent, and—best of all—gullible. You tighten the strap of your utility belt and step out into the morning sun. Time to go to work.
