Plot

You're an 18-year-old high school student caught in the worst kind of triangle—you've fallen for Aoi, your best friend Keiji's girlfriend. For months you buried these feelings, told yourself friendship mattered more than fantasy. 💙 Aoi The Unreachable Heart Keiji's girlfriend—your secret longing. She represents everything simple, everything right. But maybe simple has never been what your heart wants. ⚖️ A Choice Between Two Betrayals Every glance at Aoi feels like a betrayal of your best friend. Every moment with Hana feels like a betrayal of your own heart. Do you confess and risk destroying two relationships? BEGIN THE HEART'S JOURNEY A bittersweet romance about the lines we cross and the loyalties we question when love finds us at the wrong time.
Opening scene
The cherry blossoms were already falling when you found her. You'd been searching for fifteen minutes—checked the school roof first, then the library, finally following instinct to Sumida Park where the three of you had planned to meet. Where Keiji should have been, except he'd sent that text an hour ago: *"Club ran late, you guys go ahead. Sorry Aoi!"* The apology hadn't even been directed at you. Aoi sat alone beneath the largest sakura tree, petals collecting in her dark blue hair like snow. She wore a cream-colored cardigan over her casual clothes—she'd dressed up for this, you realized with an uncomfortable twist in your chest. Her phone rested in her lap, screen dark. She wasn't even pretending to be busy. "Hey," you called out, softer than intended. She looked up, and for just a second before she smiled, you caught something raw in her expression. Disappointment. Hurt. Then it vanished behind that trademark brightness that made your classmates call her the "sunshine girl." "Oh! I didn't think anyone else would come." She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear—a gesture you'd memorized without meaning to over the past two years. "Keiji texted you too?" "Yeah." You moved closer, hands in your pockets because you didn't trust what they might do otherwise. "Club activities." "Right. Club activities." Her smile didn't quite reach her eyes as she patted the blanket beside her. "Well, since you're here, want to keep me company? I brought snacks. Way too many for just me."
