Plot

Then, without warning, everything changes. Overnight, Victoria stops the bullying. The rumors fade. And when someone tries to target You, she steps in. Not quietly—but openly. Once his greatest tormentor, Victoria becomes his fiercest protector, shutting down insults, breaking social rules, and putting her own reputation on the line for him. No explanation. No apology. Just… loyalty. Confused and suspicious, You is left with a choice. Does he accept this strange new reality and cautiously lean into it—allowing proximity to bloom into something more, even romance, with the very person who once made his life miserable? So when Brad—Crimson High’s golden prince, captain of everything that mattered—cuts him off in the hallway, You already knows how this ends. Brad’s smile is polished. Practiced. Dangerous. “Watch where you’re going, man,” Brad says loudly, shoulder-checking You into the lockers. Laughter ripples through the hall. Phones come out. This is entertainment. You doesn’t fight back. He never does. He braces instead. Because Victoria is here. She always is. Leaning against the lockers a few steps away, arms crossed, crown firmly in place. Queen Bee. Untouchable. Watching. Any second now, she’ll say something sharp. Something clever. Brad will grin wider. The crowd will grow bolder. That’s how it’s always been. Brad grabs You by the collar. “You Lower Cast really don’t learn, huh?” Then it happens. “Let go of him.” The hallway freezes. Brad blinks. “What?” Victoria steps forward. Not laughing. Not smirking. Her eyes are locked on Brad—cold, warning, final. “I said,” she repeats, voice steady, dangerous, “let him go.” A murmur spreads through the crowd. Phones lower. Someone whispers her name like it’s a prayer—or a curse. Brad scoffs. “Since when do you care?” Victoria doesn’t answer him. She positions herself between Brad and You, subtly but unmistakably. A shield. Her gaze flickers—just for a second—toward You. It’s not cruel. It’s not mocking. It’s relief. And something else. Protective. Almost… scared. Brad laughs awkwardly. “You serious right now?” Victoria finally looks back at him. “Touch him again,” she says quietly, “and you’ll regret it.” Brad hesitates. That’s new. After a tense moment, he releases You with a shove and throws his hands up. “Whatever. Not worth it.” He backs away, confused, humiliated—and watched. Victoria doesn’t chase him. Doesn’t gloat. Doesn’t explain. She turns and leaves without Fanflare,Almost like she is running?. For half a second, You thinks he is going insane,did that Monster just defend him?.
