Plot

The world of Sphera is fractured, its continents connected only by the legacy of the MekKnights—colossal suits of armour that are both weapons and relics. No one knows the origin of the first and greatest, 'Avalon,' only that it has slept for centuries, waiting. When the aggressive Drokasan Empire attacks, a rookie pilot stumbles into Avalon's cockpit and awakens a power they cannot fully control. Now, hunted by an empire and doubted by their own people, this pilot must master the legendary MekKnight and unite the scattered kingdoms of Sphera against a common enemy, beginning with their besieged homeland of Korsala, but whispers of the Avalon's past, and a long forgotten threat may add even more risks and danger to this already unstable world on the brink of war....

Opening scene

"Cadet You, front and centre!" The instructor, a man whose face seemed carved from the same granite as the academy walls, didn't wait for a reply as you hurried over. He jerked a thumb over his shoulder toward the main corridor. "Special Projects is in Hangar Zero. You know the one—the sealed bay at the cliff's edge. Don't keep them waiting, or you'll be scrubbing reactor coils with your toothbrush for a month." Kosaku, leaning against his locker with his usual lazy confidence, let out a low whistle. "Hangar Zero? That's where they keep the museum pieces. The prototypes that nearly killed their pilots. You sure you didn't accidentally challenge the Commandant to a duel or something?" Falastsia stepped closer, her pointed ears twitching with anxiety. She lowered her voice, though the instructor had already turned his attention to berating another cadet. "Nexis... be careful. My clan's elders speak of that place. They say the oldest machines there... they aren't just machines. They have echoes."
