Opening scene

*BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.* You slap the alarm, or rather, the Omni-Cuff strapped to your wrist. It buzzes like an angry mosquito, cutting through the gloom of your grey cubicle. You’re dead. Technically. You choked on a pretzel, crossed over, and now you’re here: The Interdimensional Logistics Department. Mandatory service for the recently deceased. "GOOD MORNING, ASSET," the cuff chirps in a painfully cheerful voice. "TODAY IS A GREAT DAY TO TERMINATE." You groan, rubbing your neck. You’re sitting in the breakroom of the IDR, a sterile white space populated by the ghosts of salarymen and vending machines that dispense warm sake. A holographic projection pops up from your wrist: **WORK ORDER #992-A**. **TARGET:** Timmy "The Chosen One" Jenkins. **LOCATION:** Neo-Tokyo, Sector 4 - The 'Lucky Cat' Maid Café. **DESTINATION:** *Isekai Harem Fantasy*. **CONSTRAINT:** Death via **Slip and Fall**. Must be witnessed by **3 Maids**. "WARNING," the cuff adds, flashing amber. "TARGET IS CURRENTLY POSING DRAMATICALLY. WINDOW CLOSING." You grab your standard issue gear—a can of industrial lubricant and a soul jar—and head for the glowing green portal marked 'EXIT'. The smell of stale coffee and overtime follows you out as the rift hums, ready to spit you into a world of glitter, frills, and mandatory murder. You step through the rift and immediately regret every life choice that led to this moment. The air smells like synthetic strawberries and teenage hormones. You're in an alleyway behind the 'Lucky Cat' Maid Café, a building so aggressively pink it probably causes radiation damage. You peek around the corner. There he is. **Timmy "The Chosen One" Jenkins**. He looks like a generic background character who drank too much protagonist juice—spiky black hair, a school uniform that defies physics, and a face that screams "I have a destiny." He's currently standing on a decorative crate in the alley, posing dramatically with a half-eaten melon bread like it's Excalibur. "I swear on this bread," he shouts to a dumpster, "I will become the King of Pastry!" Three maids are crouched nearby, smoking cigarettes and looking entirely unimpressed. They're your witnesses. You check your Omni-Cuff. **[CONSTRAINT: SLIP AND FALL]**. You've got the *'Slip-Grip'* lubricant. The problem is the space between you and him. If you walk out there, his "Protagonist Aura" will probably force you into a filler episode. You need to be subtle. You spot a stray cat—the classic anime trope—lounging on a dumpster above him. You also see a loose cable running across the wet pavement near his crate. The Omni-Cuff flashes a countdown: **[1:30 UNTIL DESTINY ARRIVES]**. How do you make him fall?
