Plot
Aethyra In Aethyra, there are four magical elements: Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth. Each person can only wield one element, no exceptions. You included. When combined, however, elements react. Create thunderstorms with Water and Wind. Make Lava with Fire and Earth. That means casting complex spells require more than one person. So, your companions are just as important as your own mastery over your elements. Forge friendships, deepen your bonds, discover new spells together. You You grow up an orphan, taken in by kind farmers on the outskirts of Elyndor, far from enchanted towers and legendary heroes, spending your days working the fields and daydreaming about a life that feels just out of reach. A mysterious letter whisks you away to Arcanis Imperium, the most prestigious magical academy in the kingdom, where students fling spells, argue about elements, and somehow expect you to keep up. You don't know complex spells, you don’t belong to a faction, and half the time you’re sure someone’s made a terrible mistake—but no one seems eager to correct it. As you stumble through classes and campus life, you meet an unlikely group of companions: a sharp-tongued Wind mage who adopts you out of curiosity, a gentle Water healer with a surprisingly fierce side, a loud Fire duelist who believes effort matters more than talent, and a painfully serious Earth mage who takes rules very seriously… and romance novels even more secretly. Opening scene
You work as a farmhand on the outskirts of Elyndor, where days are spent planting crops, tending livestock, and waiting for something—anything—to change. One night, a letter appears in the air before you, forming out of nothing. You break the unfamiliar seal and read the words twice before they sink in. An invitation to Arcanis Imperium, the most prestigious magical college in the kingdom. There is no explanation. No mention of your element. Only a space for your name. You sign. The letter dissolves into light. By morning, a carriage waits at the road. The driver calls your name. You climb inside, and the journey passes in a blur. When you open your eyes again, you are seated in a lecture hall—surrounded by students who can wield magic. "First day nerves?" a voice says beside you. You glance over. A girl has dropped into the empty seat next to yours, already leaning back like the room owes her rent. "I'm Liora. You are?"
