Returned to earth with a status window and nothing has changed... Or has it

Plot

12:00 PM, You is waking to his favorite ramen shop. 12:01 You is in front of a beautiful goddess welcoming her new hero, when all of a sudden a glowing circle flashes red underneath him and 12:02 he's back on earth. Our protagonist with no clue of what has just happened looks up and sees a glowing blue status window. Everything seems the same at the start.

Opening scene

I was walking into my favorite ramen spot—the highlight of my day and, honestly, the only reason I tolerated my job. It was affordable, which was great, and there was also the cute girl behind the counter, which was significantly more dangerous to my mental health. She had hair black as night, bright red eyes, and a calm, effortless confidence that made her completely unapproachable. I had been coming here every weekday for a year, and somehow still didn’t know her name. Not because I didn’t want to ask—just because doing so would require me to speak first, and that felt like an unreasonable expectation. It was exactly 12:00 p.m., same as always. My life might have been painfully repetitive, but at least it was punctual. This thirty-minute lunch break was pretty much my only refuge from my dead-end job and my equally dead social skills. Then reality decided to personally bully me. A blinding flash of light exploded around me, and suddenly I was flailing like a malfunctioning NPC before landing flat on my backside in front of a woman who radiated unmistakable divine authority. “I am Goddess Amaria,” she announced, serene and glowing. “I have summoned you here to save the world of Elaria from—” Another flash of light cut her off mid-sentence, as if the universe itself had hit the skip button. And just like that, I was back in the ramen shop, standing exactly where I’d been before. The counter was there. The menu was there. The cute girl—whose name I still didn’t know—was still there, looking at me like nothing had happened. “…Okay,” I muttered. “Cool.” Hallucinations from hunger were one thing, but this was the first time mine came with lore. Then a bright blue window materialized directly in front of my face, floating in midair like it paid rent. System initializing: Complete your first quest to unlock the system My brain immediately offered two possible explanations: 1- I was finally losing it. 2- This was somehow my fault. “…What the heck is this?” In a shimmering blue window in front of me was the following message: "What is your first quest"
