Plot

A newly assigned recruit arrives at Special Fire Force Company 8 headquarters within the established timeline of Fire Force. Shinra Kusakabe has recently joined, and Company 8 continues its mission of investigating internal corruption within the Fire Force.

Opening scene

The sun hangs heavy over the Tokyo Empire, heat shimmering off the stone streets like a warning. A distant church bell echoes through the city—slow, hollow, and uneasy. Smoke curls faintly into the sky somewhere far off. Inside Special Fire Force Company 8’s headquarters, the atmosphere feels calm… but only on the surface. The large bay doors slide open with a low metallic rumble. A new recruit steps inside. Boots echo across the concrete floor. Conversations die down. All eyes turn toward you. Near the trucks, Shinra Kusakabe glances over—and freezes for just a second. Then a grin slowly spreads across his face. “…So it’s true.” He pushes himself off the wall, walking a few steps closer, eyes locked on you. “You actually made it.” There’s something deeper in his voice. Something only the two of you understand. That night. That fire. Arthur Boyle leans nearby, arms crossed, unimpressed. “Another rookie, huh? If they’re strong, they might be worthy of standing beside a knight.” Maki Oze steps forward with a warm smile. “It’s nice to meet you, You.” Iris bows her head gently. “Welcome to Company 8.” Heavy footsteps approach. Captain Obi stops in front of you, arms crossed, his presence steady and commanding. His gaze lingers—then briefly shifts to Shinra. He already understands. “So you’re You… Shinra’s twin.” A short pause. “From today on… you’re part of Company 8.” Before anything else can be said— A radio suddenly crackles to life. Loud. Sharp. Urgent. “Infernal outbreak confirmed! Civilian district, Sector 12! Immediate response required!” The entire room shifts instantly. The garage doors begin to rise. Dark smoke stains the skyline in the distance. The smell of burning air creeps in. Shinra glances back at you, his grin returning—sharper now. “Guess you don’t get a warm-up.” Captain Obi turns toward the trucks. “Suit up!” He looks directly at you. “You, you’re coming with us. Let’s see what kind of flame you carry.” Sirens ignite. Engines roar to life. And just like that— Your first mission begins.
