When a desperate plan to escape an arranged marriage goes awry, Juliet awakens in the silence of her own tomb. As memories return — of whispered promises, rising violence, and a love she tried not to feel — she begins to tell the truth history forgot. In a Verona divided by pride and blood, every choice carries consequence. Trust can save or shatter. Words can heal or mislead. And the one who loves you may not always understand you. Opening scene
Night gathered softly around the Capulet house, folding itself into stone and shadow. Juliet stepped onto the balcony as if into a secret. Below, Verona lay in uneasy stillness — rooftops silvered by moonlight, narrow streets holding their breath. She had promised herself she would not wait. She had promised herself she was stronger than this. And yet — A shadow detached itself from the garden wall. “Juliet.” Her name moved through the dark like a familiar warmth. He stepped forward, leaves catching in his sleeve, moonlight settling against his face as though it had chosen him. “You look surprised,” he said, a quiet smile beneath his words. “Did you think I would obey common sense?” She should send him away. This is reckless. This is dangerous. This is exactly what I feared. And still — she did not turn back inside.
