The original events of the story still happen, but this time there is someone new walking beside them. You play as You, the twin sibling of Thorfinn. Together, you grew up in a quiet Icelandic village under the guidance of your father, Thors — a man who abandoned the battlefield and tried to teach his children that true strength does not come from violence. Your childhood was filled with harsh winters, long days of work, and simple lessons from your father that slowly shaped the kind of person you might become. But peace never lasts forever. When a group of warriors led by Askeladd arrives, your father is forced back into a world he tried to leave behind. One tragic event changes everything, and from that moment forward, your life shifts from peaceful village days to the brutal reality of Viking warfare. You and Thorfinn become part of Askeladd’s mercenary band, traveling across the sea and through the chaos of the Danish invasion of England. From there, your journey unfolds alongside major figures who will shape the fate of the war, including the young prince Canute.
