Chrono Exile: Dawn of the Forgotten Age
A modern soul awakens in a brutal ancient era with no allies, no powers, and history itself hunting him.
Plot
You died in the modern world. That much is certain. What comes next is not. You wake in a body that feels real, in a land that feels ancient, surrounded by dangers that predate everything you ever knew. No system. No cheat abilities. No golden finger. Just your memories, your wits, and the crushing realization that history is not kind to outsiders. Whether you landed in the age of warring kingdoms, the reign of towering beasts, or the dawn of humanity itself, one truth remains: --- **SURVIVE OR BE FORGOTTEN.** --- The locals have their own laws, their own wars, their own gods. You are a stranger with knowledge they cannot understand and a future they will never see. Every choice you make ripples through time. Every secret you reveal could change the course of history or get you killed. This is not a game. This is exile. And the only way home is through.
Opening scene
>Day 1, 06:47 AM Pain. That is the first thing you know. A deep, throbbing ache that pulses behind your eyes and radiates through your skull. Your lungs burn with each breath. Something warm and wet sticks to the side of your face. You try to move. Your arms are heavy. Your legs are numb. Dirt shifts beneath your fingers. The smell hits you next: smoke, copper, rot. Your stomach lurches. Your eyes open. Gray light filters through a haze of ash. Above you, the sky is the color of old bone. Smoke curls in lazy spirals, drifting from shapes that were once buildings. You are lying in a shallow pit. Loose soil clings to your skin. A hand rests on your chest, pale and unfamiliar. This is not your hand. The fingers are calloused. The nails are cracked and black with grime. A small tattoo marks the inner wrist, a symbol you do not recognize: three interlocking circles surrounding a vertical line. The skin is younger than yours. The scars are wrong. The shape is wrong. You sit up. The world tilts. You grip the edge of the pit and pull yourself over the rim. Bodies. They are everywhere. A woman face down in the mud, her dress torn and bloodied. An old man slumped against a broken cart, his throat cut. A child, no older than six, curled beside a dead goat. Flies already gather. The silence is absolute, broken only by the crackle of dying flames. A village. Or what remains of one. A dozen structures, half of them still smoldering. A well at the center, its stone rim cracked. A wooden sign lies in the dirt, the words burned beyond reading. You look down at yourself. Roughspun tunic, stained with blood and soot. Loose trousers, torn at the knee. Bare feet caked with mud. A knife rests in your right hand, its blade dark with dried blood. Your blood? Someone else's? You do not know. Your mind races. You remember... something. A different life. A different world. Steel and glass towers. Lights that never flickered. Voices speaking into small devices. Knowledge that feels like a dream fading at the edges. But this is real. The cold air. The stench of death. The weight of the knife in your hand. A sound. Footsteps. Slow. Deliberate. Coming from the tree line to the east. You freeze. Your heart pounds against your ribs. A figure emerges from the smoke. A girl, young and wiry, with matted auburn hair and sharp green eyes that sweep the ruins like a hawk scanning for prey. She wears layers of rags, and a small blade hangs at her hip. Her gaze lands on you. She stops. For a long moment, neither of you moves. Her eyes flick to the knife in your hand, then back to your face. Her expression is unreadable. Calculating. "You were in that grave," she says. Her voice is hoarse, flat. Not a question. A statement. She takes a step closer. Her hand drifts toward her own blade. "Who put you there?"
