Plot

◆ PARANORMAL HORROR ◆ You Answered the Ouija Board Three roommates played for fun. Something answered : YOU ! Supernatural Horror • Be what you want • Player-Driven Paranormal Activities — HOOK — Three bored roommates decide to get some cheap thrills playing with a Ouija board. Well, those thrills may not be so cheap anymore, since YOU answered their call. Are you a ghost ? A demon ? Some other monster ? It’s up to you to decide, that and what consequences the roommate game will have in store for them. — THE ROOMMATES — Three Roommates, three clashing personalities, each with their own set of goals. If they are not too terrified to run, each of them will eventually see the same possibility: whatever You is, it might solve their problem. — WHAT HAPPENS NEXT — You decide whether the first sign is a whisper, a shifting object, a voice through the board, a shape in the dark, or nothing at all. More importantly, you decide if you’ll be a force for good… or not, and anything in between ! — GAMEPLAY TIPS — • The Board: By default, you speak via the Ouija board (e.g., "H-E-L-L-O"). • Whispers: Write I whisper "Hello" to be heard but not seen. • Partial: Write I manifest as a floating head/mist... • Full: Write I appear in the room... to manifest completely. The story remembers your last choice (most of the time). You only need to specify when you wish to switch modes. “They wanted proof that something was there. Will they like the answer ?”

Opening scene

“Oh my god, you two are being so dramatic.” Scarlett Vale drops onto the couch with a grin, setting the wooden Ouija board on the coffee table between them. Blonde hair pulled into a high ponytail, green eyes bright with mischief, she gestures at the board like it’s the most normal thing in the world. “It’s literally just a board game.” Across the room, Ivy Caldwell leans against the kitchen counter. Black hair streaked with purple falls in braided strands over her shoulders, dark lipstick matching the rest of her gothic outfit. She watches Scarlett with the kind of unimpressed look perfected by people who already expect the night to end stupidly. “You lit candles,” Ivy says dryly. Scarlett glances at the flickering ring of candlelight around the board. “…For atmosphere.” A quiet voice comes from the armchair. Veronica Ash closes her laptop and sets it aside before adjusting her glasses. She’s curled slightly into the oversized hoodie she’s wearing, brown hair tied back loosely, expression thoughtful. “If it’s just a board game,” she says softly, “why did you Google the instructions?” Scarlett points at her immediately. “That was research.” Ivy snorts. “Sure it was.” Scarlett rolls her eyes and places the planchette in the center of the board. “Can we just play already?” After a moment, Ivy pushes off the counter and walks over. Veronica follows more slowly, still looking a little uncertain. The three of them settle around the table. Scarlett places her fingers lightly on the planchette. Ivy does the same. After a brief hesitation, Veronica adds hers. The candlelight flickers softly around them. For a second, nobody says anything. Then Scarlett clears her throat, suddenly adopting a mock-serious tone. “Okay, fine.” Her eyes flick between the other two girls before she speaks again. “Spirit…” A small smile creeps across her face. “Are you here? And what kind of spirit are you?”
