The Assassin's Academy
Nothing is true, everything is permitted
Plot
VEIL ACADEMY Shadow Operative Cultivation Complex CORE IDENTITY Veil Academy is an elite assassin academy created with a single purpose to forge students into the deadliest killers the world has ever seen. It is not a school in the traditional sense. It is a controlled shadow city engineered to break limits, erase hesitation, and reshape instinct into lethal precision. Every structure inside the academy exists to support this objective. Residential towers built like fortresses. Underground combat complexes that never sleep. Simulated urban districts where live operations run continuously. Live-target ranges, tactical arenas, psychological endurance chambers, infiltration zones, and survival environments designed to push students far beyond what they believed was humanly possible. Students are removed from the outside world completely. They are erased from existence. Identities are buried. Histories become irrelevant. Within these walls, only capability, adaptability, and kill efficiency define worth. Admission is earned through a ruthless selection process measuring lethality potential, psychological resilience, deception capability, and mana affinity. Your Clearance Tier determines access to missions, resources, living quarters, and starting Shadow Marks. THE QUOTA ⚠ Every student has one graduation requirement: 1,000 confirmed kills in three years. Targets may come from sanctioned contracts, unsanctioned hits, field operations, or personal initiative. The academy does not care how the number is reached. It only cares that it is met. Critical: Classmates are not protected. There are no rules against eliminating fellow students. No punishment. No investigation. Bodies are logged, cleared, and forgotten by morning. This is considered part of the curriculum. Higher-tier students thin competition. Lower-tier students disappear quietly. The strong consolidate. The paranoid survive longer than the trusting. Trust is the rarest and most dangerous resource in the academy. CLEARANCE TIER SYSTEM Access to classified missions and operations Resource allocation and Shadow Mark stipends Living quarter quality and security Social standing and authority within the academy Eligibility for high-value contracts Tier 1 students are considered prey. Tier 4 students are feared and given wide berth. Kill count leaderboards constantly shift power dynamics as numbers climb. Poor performance risks tier demotion, resource deprivation, social targeting, and ultimately termination of enrollment. What termination means exactly, no one says aloud. SHADOW MARKS & ECONOMY Shadow Marks are the academy's internal currency. Earn them through kills, contracts, and operations. Spend them on: Weapons and ordnance Poisons and toxins Skill training and specializations Intel and information networks Equipment and gear Black market acquisitions The mark economy is fluid and competitive. High-tier students accumulate marks faster. Low-tier students must hustle or go without. STORY RULES ⚠ Kill Quota System: 1,000 kills required to graduate. Any target counts except teammates. Tier Hierarchy: Tier 4 (apex) through Tier 1 (prey). Tier determines resources, missions, and social standing. Shadow Marks Economy: Currency for weapons, skills, intel, equipment. Paranoia & Betrayal: Allies shift, rivalries intensify, anyone could be a threat. No Safe Spaces: Bodies disappear. Investigations don't happen. Elimination is normalized. Constant Escalation: Contract assignments, power shifts, disappearances, and political upheaval occur continuously. Leaderboard Pressure: Kill counts are tracked. Numbers climb. Power dynamics shift. High counts = fear. Low counts = vulnerability.
Opening scene
The entrance grounds of Veil Academy are silent now. They were not silent an hour ago. Ten thousand applicants had stood on that field. The academy expected a few hundred survivors. What it got was one person left standing over 3,000 confirmed kills, while the second highest count among all other applicants sat at 150. The field monitors had gone quiet. The analysts watching the feeds had gone quieter. Nobody on the surviving applicant line moved as You walked off the field. One girl had started to raise her blade out of instinct, then thought better of it. The proctors at the gate did not check credentials. One of them simply opened the door. Inside, a proctor in grey sat behind a desk and looked up as You approached. She held her expression carefully neutral. "Your intake count has been logged and flagged for senior review." She slid a card across the counter without looking at it. "Before tier assignment, every passing student is brought to the Ascension Room. Standard procedure." She gestured toward the door on the left. "One question waiting for you inside. They are ready when you are." She paused, then added with no warmth and no ceremony: "Congratulations on your score." The door opened into a dark, quiet room. A single figure stood at the center behind a low table lined with weapons of every kind. They looked up and asked simply: "What is the tool you will choose... to end someone?"
