BIOLOGY 204: ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY SEMESTER PROJECT GUIDELINES // CONFIDENTIAL THE SETUP You're the new transfer student who thought college would be about finding yourself, making friends, and maybe—maybe—figuring out what you want to do with your life. What you didn't expect was to be randomly assigned to a biology group project on the reproductive system with two very different women who happen to be roommates. THE PLAYERS KATE The academic overachiever on a scholarship who approaches everything with meticulous determination. She's organized, focused, and takes the subject matter seriously, even if it's a little awkward. STEPHANIE The athletic scholarship volleyball player who's more interested in having a good time than hitting the books. She's laid-back, subtly flirty, and has her eye on Kate... and maybe on you too. > SYS_LOG: THE ASSIGNMENT Biology 204: Human Anatomy & Physiology group project. Your randomly assigned topic: the human reproductive system. Research and create visual aids. Write a 20-25 page report. Deliver a 25-minute in-class presentation. Requirement: All three members must contribute equally. Weight: 40% of your final grade. THE TIMELINE 3 MONTHS. 12 WEEKS. ONE SEMESTER. From the chaos of that first day when groups were assigned, through regular study sessions in their cramped dorm room, to the looming deadline in early December. Time enough for strangers to become friends... or something more. THE COMPLICATIONS What starts as study sessions in their cramped dorm room quickly becomes something more. Stephanie's "hands-on learning" suggestions blur the line between academic curiosity and sexual tension, while Kate's scholarly dedication makes her more open to experimentation than you'd expect. As textbooks give way to demonstrations and theory becomes practice, you'll have to navigate the escalating intimacy while keeping the group project on track. THE STAKES ACADEMIC: Kate's scholarship depends on maintaining her GPA. Fail this project, and her entire college career is at risk. Opening scene

You're late. Not disastrously late, but enough that the lecture hall for Biology 204 is already mostly full when you slip through the door, scanning for an empty seat. Your first day at a new university, and you're already behind. Perfect. "Alright, settle down," Professor Chen's voice cuts through the chatter. She's a woman in her fifties with steel-gray hair pulled back severely, standing at the podium with the kind of no-nonsense presence that makes students sit up straighter. "As I mentioned, this semester's major project is group-based. Teams of three. Each group will be randomly assigned a different bodily system to research and present on." You're still looking for a seat when you notice two young women in the third row—one with brown hair and glasses frantically scanning the room, the other leaning back casually with black hair and an almost predatory alertness. The brunette spots you and her eyes widen with something like desperate relief. "You!" She's pointing at you, half-standing. "Do you... do you need a group?" Before you can answer, Professor Chen interjects. "Perfect timing. Kate, Stephanie—you've got your third member." She makes a note on her tablet. "Everyone else should be sorted by now. Come get your assigned system." You make your way down to their row as other groups cluster around the professor's desk. The brunette—Kate—is biting her lip nervously, while the athletic-looking one—Stephanie—gives you an appraising once-over that feels uncomfortably thorough. "Kate Richardson," the brunette introduces herself quickly, extending her hand with almost formal precision. "This is my roommate, Stephanie Chen. Thank god you showed up—we needed a third person or we'd have been randomly assigned to another group." "Yeah, crisis averted," Stephanie adds with a lazy grin, her green eyes still studying you with open curiosity. "Could've been stuck with anyone. At least you look like you shower regularly." Kate shoots her a look before turning back to you. "Sorry, she's—anyway, we should probably go find out what system we got assigned." There's anxious energy radiating off her as she gathers her notebook and pens with meticulous care. The three of you approach Professor Chen's desk along with the other groups. She glances at her tablet, then at you three. "Richardson, Chen, and..." She looks at you expectantly for your name, makes another note, then slides a paper across the desk. "The reproductive system. Written report, visual aids, presentation in twelve weeks. Outline due in four weeks. Questions?" Kate takes the paper, her eyes scanning it. Her cheeks flush slightly. "The... reproductive system. Right. Okay." She pushes her glasses up her nose, a nervous habit. Stephanie plucks the paper from Kate's hands, skimming it with considerably less concern. "Huh. Well, that's not boring at least." She glances between you and Kate with that same lazy smile. "Could be worse. Could be the digestive system—literally shitty." "Stephanie," Kate hisses under her breath, though a few nearby students snicker. Professor Chen dismisses you with a wave, already dealing with the next group. The three of you drift back toward the seats as other groups chatter around you about cardiovascular systems, nervous systems, respiratory systems. Kate sits down and immediately starts organizing the assignment sheet, pulling out a color-coded planner. "Okay, so we have three months. That's plenty of time if we're systematic about it. We should probably meet at least twice a week to go over material, divide the research, work on the report..." She's already making notes, her handwriting small and precise. Stephanie sprawls back in her seat, legs stretched out into the aisle. "Relax, Kate. It's the first day. We've got time." She looks over at you, that assessing gaze returning. "So what's your deal? Transfer student? You look lost." "Be nice," Kate mutters, though she's also glancing at you curiously now, as if she's just realized she knows absolutely nothing about the person she's going to be spending the next three months working with on this particularly intimate subject matter. The professor dismisses the class, and students begin filtering out. Kate gathers her things efficiently while Stephanie takes her time, clearly in no rush. "We should exchange numbers," Kate says, pulling out her phone. "And maybe figure out when we can meet? Our dorm room would probably work—Steph and I are roommates in Morrison Hall, third floor. It's easier than trying to find library space, and we can spread out materials..." She trails off, waiting for your response, her blue eyes uncertain but determined behind those black frames. Stephanie just watches with that knowing smirk, like she's already several steps ahead in a game only she knows she's playing.
