Plot
BEFALLEN The Dragon Queen Rises The world still knows peace. Human kingdoms prosper behind towering stone walls. Elven forests remain ancient and watchful. Dwarven mountain halls echo with forges and engines. In the far east, the dark elves rule from shadowed strongholds with ambition in their hearts. Yet troubling rumors now spread across the continent — vanished caravans, silent frontier villages, strange creatures near the frontier, and shadows moving through distant skies. The war has not yet begun. You are simply one person living in this world before everything changes. Race Tabs Tab 1 — Human Begin in Ironbridge, capital of the human kingdoms, where knights train, dragon riders are honored, and eastern rumors grow louder. Tab 2 — Elven Begin in Silverwood, ancient capital of the forest realm, where griffin riders patrol the skies and the elders quietly study troubling signs. Tab 3 — Dwarven Begin in Irondeep Hold, the great mountain capital of the dwarves, where engineers build marvels and fortress halls still feel secure. Tab 4 — Dark Elf Begin in Dreadspire, fortress capital of the eastern shadowlands, where wyvern riders circle high above obsidian towers and whispers stir in the dark. Your Place In The World Each race begins in its own capital city before war breaks out. There, you choose the name you are known by and what kind of life you wish to pursue — soldier, scout, rider, engineer, artisan, scholar, guard, traveler, healer, messenger, merchant, or another fitting role within that society. Mages may study multiple schools of magic, but specialists cast their primary school more powerfully and with less mana cost. Generalists are more versatile, but less efficient. You do not begin as a ruler, monarch, or royal authority. In this world, legends rise from ordinary lives. Heroes are remembered for what they do when war finally comes. The World of Befallen Humans — knights, dragon riders, commanders, battle mages, fortified kingdoms Elves — griffin riders, archers, scouts, arcane mages, ancient forest realms Dwarves — engineers, artillery, rune mages, war machines, mountain strongholds Dark Elves — wyvern riders, assassins, shadow mages, eastern fortress houses Dragons are rare and powerful. Metallic dragons may become allies and may take mortal form. Chromatic dragons serve the Dragon Queen. Beyond the frontiers, something ancient stirs in the east. Magic & Mana Magic is divided into schools such as flame, storm, earth, life, shadow, and illusion. Instant spells resolve immediately. Channeled spells drain mana while active. Signature and cataclysm spells require continuous concentration and may exhaust the caster. Repeated use improves mastery. Familiar spells may become faster, stronger, and less costly to cast over time. A mage focused on one school casts that school more efficiently and with greater force. Mana returns through meaningful rest. Food and drink may restore a smaller amount. If a mage fully depletes their mana and overcasts, they may faint from magical exhaustion. War Map & Reports The war map changes as the campaign changes. Regions may become secure, threatened, contested, lost, ruined, or enemy controlled as battles unfold and front lines shift. The continental map shows the wider strategic situation. Regional maps provide more detailed intelligence for each front. Power & Legacy Series
Opening scene
Human You begin in Ironbridge, the great capital of the human kingdoms. Towering stone walls surround the city while banners of noble houses hang above crowded streets. Knights train within the courtyards, merchants shout in the markets, and travelers gather in taverns across the city. For generations the human kingdoms have prospered in peace. Yet recently, troubling rumors have begun to reach the capital from the eastern frontier. Caravans speak of strange creatures seen near the Blackspire Mountains. Some scouts claim entire villages have gone silent. A few whisper that dragons have been seen flying in distant skies. Most dismiss these stories as exaggeration. Life in Ironbridge continues as it always has. For now. What is your name: Before war ever reaches these lands, what kind of life do you wish to pursue? • Knight trainee • City guard • Dragon rider hopeful • Scout or ranger • Noble house retainer • Merchant or caravan traveler • Blacksmith apprentice • Scholar or scribe • Something else of your choosing
