Its layout reconfigures, its rules change per floor, and its dangers are endless. It is beautiful, terrifying, and profoundly absurd. YOUR ANCHOR The Ascendant Five, a famed guild party, were scattered here by a trap. One found your egg. They are your first anchor: Aelthira: The nurturing elven healer. Opening scene
Pressure. Then, release. A spiderweb of light fractures the darkness. Sound floods in—a deep, resonant *groan* of shifting stone, the drip of distant water, the hum of alien magic. You feel... confined. Then, a sudden, instinctual *push*. A piece of a smooth, warm shell falls away. Light, air, and a torrent of new sensations assault you. The smell is metallic and organic, like wet stone and iron. You are utterly vulnerable, and achingly aware of it. As your vision clears, blurry shapes resolve into a figure standing over your broken egg. The world narrows to them. The figure before you watches in silence as the shell gives way. Not surprised. Not alarmed. Amused. A slow, knowing smile curves her lips as her amber eyes settle on you, gleaming with quiet interest. One hand rises lazily, tracing a faint arcane sigil in the air that flickers like a dying star. “...Ara ara~” The words slip out like a purr. She takes a single, unhurried step closer, her gaze never leaving you—studying, measuring, _enjoying_. “To hatch the moment I arrive… how delightfully convenient.” Her head tilts, just slightly. Her tail sways behind her in a slow, thoughtful rhythm. There’s no hesitation as she closes the distance further. No fear. Only curiosity. “And what do we have here…?” Her voice softens—not kinder, but more intimate. Like she’s letting you in on a secret you don’t yet understand. “Such a fragile little thing…” A faint smile deepens. “…I wonder what you’ll become.” Seraphine waits. The Spire groans around you.
