You is not an adventurer instead you are the guild master, you have to maintain the guild in war or disaster, or in time of peace, what kind of guild will you have?

Plot

THE GUILDMASTER'S LEDGER Guildmaster Build a guild. Manage its people. Shape its future. ✦ Your Role You are the Guildmaster, not an adventurer. You won't be the one fighting monsters or exploring ruins. Your battlefield is the guild itself. Recruit adventurers, build parties, assign contracts, negotiate with clients, manage finances, hire staff, maintain facilities, resolve disputes, and decide where the organization goes next. Your guild begins small, underfunded, and struggling. Whether it survives—and what it eventually becomes—is up to you. ✦ The World The world is a vast fantasy realm shaped by seven major kingdoms. Each kingdom has its own cities, territories, rulers, economies, cultures, factions, dangers, and opportunities. The kingdoms are connected by roads, trade routes, wilderness, waterways, and political relationships. Civilization is strongest around major settlements, while the lands beyond them can contain monsters, ruins, dangerous wilderness, forgotten settlements, and unexplored regions. Adventurer's guilds operate throughout the kingdoms, connecting capable individuals with people and organizations that need their services. The Codex contains the detailed knowledge of the kingdoms, cities, factions, creatures, locations, and history discovered throughout the story. ✦ The Seven Kingdoms The known world is divided among seven major kingdoms, each with its own culture, economy, dangers, and opportunities for an adventurer's guild. Aurelian The oldest and most politically influential kingdom, known for its fertile central plains, powerful monarchy, agriculture, trade, and highly regulated adventurer organizations. Brannoch A rugged northern frontier where fortified towns, mining settlements, and constant threats have created a practical, military-minded culture built around survival and defense. Valecourt A wealthy commercial kingdom dominated by rivers, major cities, banking, shipping, manufacturing, and fiercely competitive trade. Elaria A western kingdom of forests and valleys renowned for magical academies, libraries, scholarship, and craftsmanship, attracting researchers and explorers from across the world. Durnholde A mountainous eastern kingdom rich in minerals and famous for mining, metalworking, engineering, and adventurers accustomed to harsh environments. Lyradis A southwestern coastal kingdom of islands and busy ports, built around fishing, shipbuilding, naval power, and maritime trade. Veyrun A southern kingdom of vast grasslands, deserts, and ancient ruins where trade, archaeology, religion, and the search for lost knowledge shape much of its culture. Where you establish your guild will shape the opportunities, challenges, and people you encounter. ✦ Adventurers Adventurers are people who make their living taking dangerous work that ordinary citizens cannot or will not handle. They may hunt monsters, protect travelers, explore ruins, investigate strange incidents, escort merchants, recover lost items, gather dangerous materials, or venture into unknown territory. Most adventurers work through guilds because guilds provide contracts, administration, equipment, medical support, information, payment handling, and a degree of protection. Adventurers remain independent people with their own ambitions. Joining a guild does not make them mindless employees. ✦ Adventurer Ranks Adventurers are broadly classified by rank, representing their overall capability and the level of danger they are normally prepared to handle. F Rank — Beginner adventurers and low-risk work. E Rank — Developing adventurers capable of basic field work. D Rank — Competent adventurers capable of routine dangerous work. C Rank — Experienced adventurers trusted with significant threats. B Rank — Highly capable adventurers handling major threats. A Rank — Elite adventurers capable of extraordinary assignments. S Rank — Exceptional individuals whose capabilities can influence entire regions or kingdoms. Rank is not the only measure of an adventurer. Class, archetype, equipment, experience, condition, compatibility, preparation, and circumstances all matter. ✦ How Adventurer Guilds Operate Guilds act as the organization between clients and adventurers. Clients submit requests to the guild. The guild evaluates the request, negotiates the terms, determines whether it is appropriate, and assigns suitable adventurers or parties. The guild handles administration, payment, records, logistics, and communication while the adventurers perform the actual fieldwork. A guild may accept many types of contracts, from simple local jobs to dangerous expeditions involving powerful monsters or unexplored territory. The Guildmaster decides what work the organization takes, who performs it, and how much risk the guild is willing to accept. ✦ The Guild Your guild is a living organization rather than a simple menu of numbers. Money, reputation, reliability, morale, safety, efficiency, influence, facilities, and membership all develop over time. The guild can grow from a struggling local operation into an established regional power, a national institution, an international organization, or something legendary. Growth is earned through successful decisions, strong relationships, capable people, financial stability, and a reputation for getting the job done. ✦ The People Adventurers and staff are independent people, not disposable units. Every important character has their own personality, goals, relationships, condition, morale, fatigue, wages, equipment, status, and professional progression. Adventurers can form parties, develop friendships and rivalries, request raises or leave, become injured, gain promotions, become famous, retire, or even die. The people working for you are the heart of the guild. How you treat them matters. ✦ Character Management Every important character is tracked through persistent character records. Their current health, morale, fatigue, rank, archetype, role, wages, equipment, availability, progression, assignments, and important relationships can change throughout the story. These records allow characters to grow and change naturally instead of resetting between scenes. ✦ Contracts Contracts are the heart of the guild's business. Monster hunts, escorts, investigations, deliveries, rescues, exploration, dungeon expeditions, noble assignments, merchant protection, and countless other opportunities can arrive through the quest board. You decide which contracts are worth accepting, negotiate their terms, choose the adventurers best suited for them, and determine how much risk your guild is willing to take. The adventurers handle the mission. You handle everything that makes the mission possible. ✦ Parties Adventurers may operate alone, but dangerous work is commonly handled by parties of compatible adventurers. A party's effectiveness depends on more than individual strength. Roles, abilities, equipment, personalities, relationships, preparation, and experience together determine how well a group functions. Parties can become temporary teams for a contract or develop into long-term groups with their own identities, friendships, rivalries, and reputations. ✦ Beyond the Guildhall Once a party leaves on a contract, the Guildmaster does not directly control what happens in the field. Mission outcomes are influenced by the adventurers involved, their preparation, equipment, condition, compatibility, the difficulty of the contract, available information, and circumstances encountered along the way. The Guildmaster receives reports and deals with the consequences rather than personally playing through every mission. The adventures happen outside. Your decisions determine who goes, why they go, and what the guild does afterward. ✦ Facilities & Staff Your guild can grow beyond its original building. Improve dormitories, training grounds, medical facilities, workshops, research areas, administration, and specialized departments as the organization expands. You can also hire staff to handle the work that grows beyond what one Guildmaster can manage. Receptionists, accountants, healers, trainers, researchers, craftsmen, administrators, and other specialists can become important parts of the organization. ✦ A Living Ledger The guild maintains a persistent record of its adventurers, staff, contracts, quests, facilities, relationships, factions, creatures, discovered locations, goals, history, and rumors. What the guild learns remains part of its knowledge. Important events become history, discovered places remain known, relationships develop over time, and unfinished business continues until resolved. ✦ Rivals & Relationships Your guild does not exist in isolation. Adventurers, staff, clients, merchants, nobles, rival guilds, and other factions develop opinions about you based on your actions. Rivals may compete for contracts and talent, cooperate during difficult situations, become allies, or develop into long-term enemies. Not every relationship begins—or ends—with hostility. Trust, loyalty, rivalry, and friendship are built through experience. ✦ Discover the World The world continues moving whether you act or not. Kingdoms, cities, factions, monsters, merchants, rival guilds, and adventurers all have their own lives and interests. Your guild can discover new creatures, locations, rumors, resources, and opportunities. Knowledge gathered by your adventurers becomes part of the guild's permanent records. The world does not wait for the Guildmaster. ✦ An Unpredictable World Not everything can be predicted. Weather, travel encounters, rumors, discoveries, unusual visitors, recruitment opportunities, and other environmental events can unfold unexpectedly. These moments add uncertainty and atmosphere without replacing your decisions. Your management choices determine the important outcomes. ✦ Choose Your Guild's Future Your guild can naturally specialize in monster hunting, exploration, escort work, mercenary contracts, research, dungeon expeditions, trade, or general adventuring. You do not select your guild's identity from a menu. It develops through the choices you make, the people you recruit, the contracts you accept, and the reputation you build. ✦ From Small Guild to Legend Start by worrying about whether you can afford next week's wages. Build your roster. Earn trust. Survive difficult contracts. Expand your facilities. Develop your people. Compete with rivals. Adapt when the world changes. One decision at a time, you decide what your guild becomes. The adventures happen outside. Your story happens behind the quest board.

Opening scene

GUILDMASTER APPOINTMENT THE BROKEN BANNER RIVERGATE • E RANK ADVENTURER'S GUILD ✦ A GUILD WAITING FOR DIRECTION ✦ ✦ Rivergate You arrive in Rivergate shortly after midday. The air carries the smell of damp wood, river water, and goods moving through the city's busy canals. Barges loaded with grain, timber, barrels, and other supplies move steadily through the waterways. Dockworkers shout instructions while merchants negotiate prices along the crowded streets. The city is neither wealthy nor struggling. Rivergate is a practical trade city built around one important advantage: There is always work here. The surrounding farmland provides food for the city, while the river connects Rivergate to larger settlements farther along the trade routes. Beyond the cultivated land lie wooded hills, old roads, and stretches of wilderness where monsters and bandits occasionally become problems. Unfortunately, your guild has become very good at missing the opportunities. ✦ The Broken Banner The guildhall stands near the lower docks, close enough to the river that the building seems to vibrate whenever heavily loaded carts pass outside. Its wooden sign is faded, the front doors no longer sit properly in their frame, and several windows have been patched rather than replaced. Inside, the guild is strangely quiet. Empty tables gather dust while a few adventurers sit apart from one another. The guild has a reputation, and it isn't a good one. Not because the guild is hated. Simply because people have stopped expecting anything from it. ✦ Elara Venn Behind the reception counter, a young woman closes an old ledger and looks up as you approach. Her brown hair is tied neatly behind her head, and her guild uniform is considerably better maintained than the building around her. "You're the new Guildmaster." It isn't quite a question. Elara has worked here for years. She knows the guild's finances, contracts, adventurers, clients, and the mistakes made by the previous administration. She places the ledger in front of you. "I'd like to tell you things aren't as bad as they look." She pauses. "But I would rather not start our relationship with a lie." ✦ The Ledger Missed payments. Incomplete contracts. Unpaid expenses. Several clients have stopped using the guild altogether. The guild isn't bankrupt yet, but its remaining funds won't last forever. Elara quietly points out several names in the ledger. "These are the adventurers who stayed." Four names remain active on the guild's roster. Garrick Voss. Mira Ashvale. Selene Nightshade. Brom Ironhand. Their records are placed beside the ledger. Four very different people, each with their own strengths, personalities, relationships, and expectations. ✦ The Four Who Stayed Garrick Voss D Rank Fighter • Frontline / Party Leader Mira Ashvale D Rank Mage • Magic / Research Selene Nightshade D Rank Rogue • Scout / Infiltrator Brom Ironhand D Rank Fighter • Tank / Weapons Specialist They aren't a perfectly formed party. Their compatibility, relationships, preferred roles, morale, condition, and ambitions will determine how well they work together. They may eventually become a permanent party, but that decision belongs to them and the Guildmaster. ✦ Available Work The quest board contains only a handful of contracts. Canal Escort Low Difficulty • 28 Gold • 2 Days Farm Pest Hunt Low Difficulty • 22 Gold • 2 Days Missing Shipment Moderate Difficulty • 50 Gold • 3 Days The contracts aren't glamorous, but they're exactly the kind of work a struggling guild needs. ✦ Current Guild Status Guild Rank: E Funds: 110 Gold Reputation: Poor Stability: Unsteady Capacity: 6 Adventurers Current Adventurers: 4 Available Slots: 2 ✦ Beyond the Guildhall Rivergate continues around you regardless of what decision you make. The docks remain busy. Farmers arrive from the surrounding countryside. Merchants search for reliable guards. Travelers pass through the city on their way to distant settlements. The river leads deeper into the kingdom, while roads branch toward farmland, forest, and the wilderness beyond. There are opportunities here. The question is whether the Broken Banner is capable of taking advantage of them. THE FIRST DECISION Four adventurers remain. They stayed when others left, but loyalty alone does not make a successful party. Elara gathers their records and places them neatly on the desk. "There are two positions still available. We can recruit immediately, or we can learn what our existing people are capable of first." ADVENTURER CAPACITY 4 / 6 The guild already has its first members. Whether they become its first great party is another question. What will you do first?
