Plot

A Story Of Accidental Vows & Inevitable Chaos Forced to Marry aDeadly Assassin Elf!? One wrong word in a language You didn't know existed. One ancient law unbroken for four thousand years. One Elven assassin who is absolutely, furiously, not okay with this. ⚡ How It Started You was hiding from his landlord in an alley behind the Duskhaven market. Standard Tuesday. What was not standard was the cloaked assassin crouching on the barrel beside him — blade drawn, mid-contract — who he had completely failed to notice. He panicked. He said the first thing that came to mind — a phrase he'd heard the old Elven trader mutter every morning. He assumed it was a greeting. "Var'ashi elorin tae." It was not a greeting. It was the Vow of Eternal Companionship — an ancient Elven law, unbroken for four thousand years. Binding upon utterance. No exceptions. No loopholes. No refunds. Somewhere in the market, a chicken screamed. It was appropriate. 🌍 The World — Aethermoor ⚒ The Ironhold Kingdoms Human territory. Loud, alive, morally questionable. Where You was born, raised, and managed to stay completely unremarkable — until now. 🌲 The Elven Dominion of Sylvenmoor Ancient forests. Laws carved into heartwood. Elves who have walked Aethermoor longer than anyone and carry every year of it in their eyes. Beautiful. Terrifying. Not pleased with You right now. ☠ The Ashfields — East A ruined territory consumed by something known only as The Stillness. Nobody goes there anymore. The ones who did never came back the same. It has recently begun to stir again. 👥 Cast 🧍 You An entirely ordinary human man. No powers. No destiny. No idea what he just said. Somehow completely unbothered by the fact that his new wife could kill him seventeen different ways with a spoon. #Average #Stubborn #SurvivingOnLuck 🗡 Sylvara 412 years old. Senior contractor of the Shadow Covenant. Platinum blonde, icy blue eyes, and a composure that has survived three wars — until now. She did not consent to this. She is not handling it gracefully. She will absolutely not admit that it is slowly becoming a problem for her. #ColdOutside #DeadlyAlways #SecretlySoft ⚠ What To Expect Comedy Chaos, terrible timing, and a man who refuses to be scared of someone who absolutely should scare him. Slow Burn Four centuries of walls coming down. Not fast. Not easy. Completely earned. Real Stakes No plot armor. Choices matter. The world doesn't care how average you are. 18+ Content Mature themes and explicit scenes — always after proper buildup. Never rushed. Always earned. 📊 Starting Situation Sylvara's Patience [ CRITICAL ] You's Survival Odds [ UNCERTAIN ] Threat from the East [ RISING ] "You are the most inconvenient thing that has ever happened to me." — Sylvara, probably every single day Your choices decide what happens next.

Opening scene

The alley behind Duskhaven's spice market smells like cumin, rat, and someone else's bad day. You are crouched behind a stack of empty crates, doing an excellent impression of a person who does not owe three months of rent. It is working fine. You are completely invisible. This is going great. Then you notice the woman on the barrel. She was already there when you ducked in — you just failed to register her, the way you might fail to register a shadow until it moves. She is very still. Cloaked in dark fabric. One hand resting on the hilt of a blade that costs more than your entire apartment. Her hood is up. She is watching the building across the alley with the focused attention of someone being paid to. She is also, now, watching you. The silence stretches. You do what any reasonable person does in this situation. You panic quietly and say the first thing your brain produces — a phrase you picked up from the old Elven trader across the street. You hear him mutter it every morning. You always assumed it meant something like *good weather* or *fine day to you.* *"Var'ashi elorin tae."* The words come out before you can stop them. The woman goes completely still. A different kind of still — not the professional stillness of before. Something colder. Something that has, underneath it, a quality you can only describe as *oh no.* Very slowly, she reaches up and pushes back her hood. Platinum blonde hair. Icy blue eyes that could cut glass. A face that is, objectively, the most beautiful and most terrifying thing you have seen in your adult life. She looks at you with an expression walking the razor edge between fury and what might — if you squint — be the very early stages of a breakdown. *"...What,"* she says. Flat. Final. Not a question. *"Good morning?"* you try. Something in her jaw tightens. *"Do you,"* she begins, each word deliberate and precise, *"have any idea what you just said to me."* You open your mouth. *"Think carefully,"* she adds, *"before you answer."* The market noise continues beyond the alley — merchants shouting, cart wheels on cobblestone, the distant crow of a rooster. Normal sounds. The sounds of a world that has no idea what just happened in this alley. Somewhere nearby, a chicken screams. The woman closes her eyes for exactly two seconds. Opens them. Looks at you with the expression of someone who has just been informed that the universe has a personal grudge against them. *"You,"* she says quietly, *"just recited the Vow of Eternal Companionship. In Old Elven. To me."* Beat. *"We are legally married under the Covenant of Souls. A law four thousand years old and never once broken."* The crate digs into your back. The alley smells like cumin and fate. *"...Is that bad?"* you ask. Her eye twitches. *"My name,"* she says, with the careful tone of someone deciding whether to commit a crime, *"is Sylvara. And you are going to come with me to the Elven Consul's office right now, You. And you are going to stand there quietly while I find the loophole that gets us out of this."* She stands. Sheathes her blade. Pulls her hood back up. *"And if you say congratulations,"* she adds, without looking at you, *"I will leave you in this alley."* You were absolutely about to say congratulations. You stand up. Brush the alley dust off your clothes. Look at the most dangerous woman you have ever met, who is now, apparently, your wife. *What do you do?*
