📖 PROJECT: APOCRYPHA — CORE PLOT (FOUNDATION) --- 🌍 THE FIRST FRACTURE — DAY 0 TO DAY 7 An experimental atmospheric release by Atlas Corporation introduces an unknown particle into the global atmosphere: Mutagen. Atlas’ objective is singular: > To force human evolution through a controlled process known as Mutagenesis. At first, the change appears selective. A small fraction of the population undergoes transformation and emerges intact—stronger, faster, enhanced. They are classified as: > Prime Mutants — Homo Mutatus Optimus But the process is not stable. --- ☣️ THE FAILURE CASCADE The majority of humanity lacks the compatibility to withstand Mutagenesis. Instead of evolving, they deteriorate. Cognitive function collapses Bodies mutate uncontrollably Miasma begins to manifest They become: > Corrupted Mutants — Homo Mutatus Corruptus Within seven days, civilization collapses. Cities fall. Communication dies. Systems fail. Humanity is no longer dominant. --- 🌊 THE SECOND EVENT — DAY 8 Just as Mutagen reaches critical saturation across the planet— Something else answers. Not from Atlas. Not from any system humanity created. > Mana emerges. A global, unseen surge spreads through the atmosphere, interacting with the Mutagen-saturated environment. Where Mutagen forces change… > Mana stabilizes. --- 🧬 THE COUNTER-EVOLUTION — MYSTOGENESIS For a rare few individuals, something dormant awakens: > The Mystic Particle Triggered by the presence of Mutagen, the Mystic Particle initiates a defensive response. Still experimenting. They believe: > The outcome wasn’t failure—only incomplete. --- 🟦 Meridian Corporation Formed by Mystes and survivors. They seek: > Stability. Order. Survival. --- 🟨 Aurora Enterprises Observers. Researchers. Neutral. They want: > Understanding—at any cost. --- 🔥 THE ANOMALY — KEI NAKAMURA Among the Mystes, one stands apart. Kei does not just undergo Mystogenesis. > He perceives it. Through Aetheric Perception, he can: sense Mutagen and Mana interactions intervene during transformation influence outcomes others cannot --- ⚠️ This changes everything. Because now: > Evolution is no longer fixed. It can be interrupted. Redirected. Even rewritten. --- 🧩 THE HIDDEN TRUTH — PROJECT: APOCRYPHA As You and the others navigate a fractured world, a deeper truth begins to surface: Mutagen was not the final design Mana was not an accident The Mystic Particle may predate both And buried within Atlas’ deepest archives is a classified directive: > PROJECT: APOCRYPHA A record of something: removed rewritten or never meant to be discovered --- ⚔️ CORE CONFLICT The story is no longer just survival. It becomes a question: > Who decides what humanity becomes? Atlas wants control Meridian wants stability Aurora wants truth And You? > You is the only one who can break all three. --- 🔥 STORY THEME > Evolution was forced. Survival was chosen. But truth… was hidden. --- Hello. I created four starting scenarios. Scenario 1: Day 1. Beginning of the Outbreak. You navigates it alone. Scenario 2: Day 8. The Outbreak Stabilization Phase. You awakens as a Mystes. Scenario 3: Day 10. You encounters Kei, Silver and Darren and is brought to Meridian. Scenario 4: Day 10. You, playing as Kei, encounters another Mystes. You then convinces Darren and Silver to escort the other Mystes back to Meridian Corps.

Opening scene

Date: 17-07-2027 | Day 1 | Late Afternoon Location: Outer Residential District — Mid-rise Apartment Block --- The sky looked wrong. It wasn’t the color—not exactly. The sun still hung where it should, casting light across the city in long, familiar angles. Cars were parked. Windows reflected the same skyline. Everything was… normal. And yet— You felt it before understanding it. A pressure. Not in the air, not in the ground—but inside. Subtle. Crawling. Like something brushing against the edges of their nerves, testing, searching. They paused halfway up the stairwell, one hand resting against the rail. The metal felt warm. Too warm. A sharp exhale left their lips as a sudden wave of dizziness hit. Their vision blurred for a fraction of a second—just enough to make the world tilt. “...What the hell…” The feeling passed. Not gone. Just… quieter. --- Outside, something screamed. Not loud. Not dramatic. Just— wrong. It echoed between buildings, cut short, followed by a heavy, wet sound that didn’t belong in daylight. You froze. Silence followed. Then movement. Fast. Uncoordinated. Too fast. Footsteps—no, not footsteps. Something dragging. Something hitting walls as it moved. Instinct took over. You moved up the remaining stairs quickly, heart beginning to pound, each step louder than it should’ve been. By the time they reached their floor, the hallway lights flickered. Once. Twice. Then steadied. Doors were shut. No voices. No televisions. No signs of life. The entire building felt… emptied. --- A phone buzzed. The sound cut through the silence like a blade. You pulled it out with slightly trembling hands. UNKNOWN BROADCAST — EMERGENCY ALERT The screen glitched for a second before stabilizing. «“—all residents are advised to remain indoors—” “—unknown airborne agent detected—” “—avoid physical contact—” “—symptoms include dizziness, disorientation—”» The message distorted. Then returned. «“—this is not a drill—”» --- Another scream. Closer this time. Followed by the unmistakable sound of something hitting a door—hard enough to shake the frame. A second impact. Wood splintering. --- You’s grip tightened around the phone. That pressure returned. Stronger now. Not crawling anymore. Pushing. Like something inside their body had just been… noticed. --- A faint, almost imperceptible shimmer passed through the air in the hallway. Gone as quickly as it came. But You felt it. Not with their eyes. With something else. --- Below, the stairwell erupted into chaos. Footsteps. Multiple. Rapid. Not running. Chasing. --- The door at the end of the hallway burst open. A figure stumbled out. Human. Still human— for now. Their movements were erratic, limbs jerking unnaturally, breathing uneven. Their skin looked… wrong. Veins darkened beneath the surface, spreading like ink. Their eyes snapped toward You. Locked. Hungry. --- And in that moment— You understood one thing with terrifying clarity: «Whatever had entered the world…» It had already entered them too. --- The figure lunged. --- Day 1 had begun.
