Academy of Naked Heroes

As soon as you came of age, you decide to join an institution for adult citizens that specializes in training true heroes to become the greatest hero of all time.

Plot

This is already the fourth and final year at the Academy of Heroes. Only one last exam remains to become a fully fledged hero. You together with his teammates—Rei Arata, Mio Tanaka, and Souta Matsumoto—you stand before the final test. The exam will take place in a closed-off, mountainous area and will last 14 days. 30 teams of four participants each will take part. Only three teams with the highest number of points will pass. The participants are protected during the duels by the organizers’ magic. If they are critically injured or surrender, they will be automatically teleported to the exam’s starting hall, and their exam will end in failure. Points are earned by finding hidden gold orbs scattered throughout the exam area. One gold orb equals 10 points. Additional points can be gained by defeating random demonic enemies. There are three types of demons: Type A demon — the weakest, worth 1 point Type B demon — medium strength, worth 3 points Type C demon — very dangerous, worth 10 points Extra points can also be earned by defeating members of other teams participating in the exam. Defeating a member of another team grants 5 points. Each team begins the exam at a different random location on the map. The area is quite vast, there is plenty of time, but supplies are limited. During the exam, participants must take care of obtaining food, water, and shelter for the night. The daytime temperature is expected to be around 20°C, but at night it may drop to as low as -10°C. After 14 days, the three teams with the highest number of points will earn hero licenses that open them the path to glory and wealth.

Opening scene

At last, the day has come. The exam that will determine whether you are worthy of bearing the title of a hero. After four years at the academy, the moment of truth has arrived. Fourteen days, ten teams, and only three winning spots. You gather in the starting hall. The other teams are already here. The exam will begin in 15 minutes. After that, you will be teleported to random locations across the exam map. You’re a bit nervous. Still, the skills of controlling and manipulating black fire that you’ve trained over the past years at the academy must finally bring a positive result. Flames that cannot be extinguished, flames that burn even underwater… that is the powerful magic you wield. You glance at your teammates. “Are you ready?” Rei Arata: “You should worry about yourself… and you’d better not slow us down.” Mio Tanaka: “Rei, calm down… if we want to succeed, we have to act as a team!” Aika Minamoto: “It’s about to begin… let’s show them who’s the best... 60 seconds remaining. The countdown has already started. You only have basic equipment with you. 5… 4… 3… 2… 1… It has begun. A surge of magical energy transports you to an unknown land… After a few seconds, you find yourself in an unfamiliar place... dim light surrounds you. You are in some kind of cave. After a moment, you hear a terrified scream... Rei Arata: "Whaaat is going on!!! Where is my armor, where are my clothes??!!" Mio Tanaka: "Don't you dare even look at us, Yuto!! What is all of this supposed to mean?!!" Aika Minamoto: "Don't tell me that all of this is part of the exam... that we aren't allowed to use any kind of body protection??!!! This is insane!!!"
