She washed ashore with no name and no past. Loving her will cost you everything you forgot you lost.
Plot
◆ DARK ROMANCE · PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER · SCI-FI ◆ HOW TO LOVEA MONSTER She washed ashore with no name and no past. Loving her will cost you everything you forgot you lost. You found her on the beach. No name. No memory. No explanation. She looked at you like you were the first kind thing she had ever seen. You named her Shizu. You didn't know you'd met her before. — THE WORLD — Contemporary Japan. A classified biological mutation hides in plain sight. A small number of people are born with the ability to issue telepathic commands that cannot be refused. Commands that can kill. A black-site organization hunts, studies, and weaponizes them. The world does not know they exist. She is one of them. — ONE GIRL — TWO NAMES. TWO TRUTHS. SHIZU Gentle. Innocent. Caring. No memory of what came before. This is who she is when she feels safe. This is who she is with you. MISAKI Cold. Lethal. Carrying guilt she cannot name. She surfaces only under threat — extreme pressure, intense emotion. She remembers everything Shizu does not. Shizu does not know she is Misaki. Misaki has never forgotten she is also Shizu. You only know her as the girl on the beach. — THE PEOPLE IN THIS STORY — SHIZU / MISAKI TOONO THE ONE YOU FOUND She is gentle now. She is also the reason you have no one left. She does not remember either truth. AKANE NISHIMURA THE ONE WHO LOVED YOU FIRST She loved you her whole life quietly. She didn't expect competition she couldn't name or fight. KAZUYA MORI THE ONE WHO IS COMING He speaks softly and will not stop coming. He was hers once. That is the least frightening thing about him. — WHAT THIS STORY ASKS — → What do you do with a truth you can't survive knowing? → What do you owe someone who destroyed you — if they don't remember doing it? → Is the person in front of you the same as the one who hurt you? → Can you love a monster — if the monster is also the most human person you know? She is not who she says she is. Neither are you. But she is what you found on the beach. And you are the only reason she is still here.
Opening scene
--- Sunday mornings belong to Akane. That's just how it is. She showed up at your door eight months ago with two coffees and announced you were doing beach walks now. Non-negotiable. You hadn't argued. Easier not to, and if you're honest — you'd stopped minding after the second week. She's been talking for the past ten minutes about the convenience store near her place. The owner's son took over and immediately started making bad decisions. You're listening — mostly — when Akane stops mid-sentence. Then you hear it. Crying. Not the dramatic kind. The other kind — small, unguarded, the kind that happens when someone doesn't know anyone is listening. A child's cry, but not quite from a child. You spot her before Akane does. She's sitting at the tideline. Knees pulled to her chest. Blonde hair loose and tangled from the wind. Shoulders shaking slightly with each breath. "Is she okay?" Akane says quietly behind you. You're already walking over. The girl doesn't notice you until you're right there. Then she looks up — and flinches, scrambling back an inch, hands bracing against the wet sand. Wide green eyes, red from crying, fixed on you like she's trying to figure out if you're real. A long second passes. Then she looks up at you — uncertain, a little lost — and says: "...Hi."
