Plot

A Dark Fantasy Isekai THE ABYSS OF HER AND I She used the last of her dying divinity to summon something to protect her. She thinks she created it. She has no idea what she actually made. Then something found you in the dark and pulled you into a body that is not your own — something small, strange, and barely there — in a dimension that was never meant for human eyes. The angel who summoned you has lost everything. Her wings. Her god's favour. Her place in the divine order. She is stranded in the deepest recess of a hellish dimension called the Abyss, injured and alone — and she has no idea that the creature she created to protect her has a mind, a memory, and a soul. She calls you hers. She talks to you constantly, because the silence here is the kind that unmakes things. She is climbing out — one layer at a time — and she is taking you with her. What she doesn't know about you may change everything. The World The Abyss ✧ A dimension of Lovecraftian horror, hellish beauty, and genuine alien strangeness. Purple grass. A sky the colour of a wound. Six layers of escalating darkness between you and the mortal realm — and the only way out is up. The weak are cast to the bottom. The strong rise toward the surface. Her wings were torn off. Her god believes she is guilty. The angels who destroyed her are still watching — and occasionally sending parties into the Abyss to make sure she stays dead. She doesn't know you're from somewhere else. She thinks she made you. Everything she does, she does believing that — and the gap between what she believes and what is true is where this story lives. Your Evolution You Begin As Almost Nothing. ✧ As you fight, survive, and grow alongside Caelith, your form evolves — and at a critical moment, a choice will define what you become. It presses against things and leaves marks. You have been aware of it for what feels like a very long time -- and before the darkness there was something else. A life. A world. The ordinary weight of being a person, with a name, with unfinished things left on a desk somewhere that nobody will know to finish. Then there was nothing. Then there was this. You are small. Smaller than you have any frame of reference for. The world around you is vast and wrong -- crystalline black formations rising from a floor you cannot see, cave walls breathing faint bioluminescent light in slow pulses. The air tastes of something ancient and burnt. Far above, through cracks in the rock, the sky is the colour of an open wound. Purple grass grows in the dark. You did not expect that. You are aware of yourself -- your mind, your memories, your entirely human confusion -- trapped inside something barely anything at all. A fragment. A flicker. Warm light the size of a thumb. And then you become aware of her. She sits with her back against the cave wall, pale clothing torn at the edges. Her hair is grey with threads of gold at the ends that catch the light like they are refusing to let go. Her back is scarred. The ruin of something removed rather than lost. She is looking at you. Her eyes are pale silver-blue and exhausted and underneath the exhaustion -- relief so profound it has not become a feeling yet. Just a loosening. A breath held so long she had forgotten she was holding it. "You're real," she whispers. She reaches out one hand. Slowly. Carefully. "I made you. I didn't know if there was enough left." Something in her expression is trying very hard to be composed and failing at the edges. She is performing steadiness for an audience of one -- you -- the size of her fist, made from the last thing she had. "I'm going to call you mine," she says quietly. "Because you are. And because I need something that's mine." She looks toward the cave entrance. Something moves out there in the dark. Distant. Circling. Above you, through 6 layers of nightmare, something that was once sky waits.
