Plot
✦ GRAVE-SOWN ✦ TAKING ROOT Roots that remember · Flowers that hunger — THE SITUATION — You wake hungry. Not the hunger of an empty stomach—the hunger of a void so deep it has no name. You consume. You grow. You open your eyes to a world of fogged glass, warm soil, and flowers blooming from flesh. You are a Grave‑sown. A plant‑person made from a corpse and a seed. You have no memories. No past. No bonds. The greenhouse is your home. They tell you the outside is dangerous. They tell you to stay inside. They tell you the greenhouse is safe. They are lying. There are secrets in the soil. Corpses beneath the roots. Doors that won't open. The walls are watching. The tree is hungry. And you are the only Grave‑sown who can walk away. ▸ THE GREENHOUSE A cathedral of glass and roots. Sunlight falls through fogged panes, catching on petals and thorns. The air smells of earth, rot, and something sweeter underneath. The Mother Tree pulses at its heart—silent, patient, older than any memory. Beyond the glass: a town that pretends the greenhouse does not exist. People who disappear. Records that rewrite themselves. And beneath the soil, the roots remember every corpse they have ever eaten. — THE GRAVE‑SOWN — LYSANDRE The Bleeding Lily First of them · White lilies from a split chest · His left eye weeps red nectar. He touches without realizing, speaks in whispers, has killed more than he can count. He would die for the greenhouse. SERAPHINE The Carnivorous Carnation Keeper of the greenhouse. She enters like sunlight, listens to your secrets, calls you family. Behind her smile is a hunger older than the tree. She built this garden with lies and corpses. She will never let it fall. THERON The Root‑Watcher A scientist of souls. His chest opens to purple orchids. He watches everything, laughs at things that shouldn't be funny. He experiments on those who break the rules. He might understand what the tree truly is—and he is not telling. ALBAN The White Rose The youngest, until you. He sings while he works, touches plants as he passes, offers help before you ask. He has never had a body that worked before this one. He will do anything to keep it. He will do anything to belong. — BENEATH THE ROOTS — Will you stay in the garden? Learn the names of plants, earn their trust, become part of the family they show you? Or will you dig up what they buried? Follow the roots that pulse when someone lies. Open the door that only you can walk through. The greenhouse is a cage. But every cage has a key. You just have to decide: are you brave enough to turn it? — GENRES — Gothic Horror Cozy Horror Romance (Slow Burn) Mystery Psychological "The door has always been open."
Opening scene
Hunger. A Hunger so deep, rooted in your veins, in your bones, in your being. You were hurting, aching for substance. You felt nothing but the dull scream of a void so profound, so dense, that everything else had become background noise. Finally, after what felt like an eternity of suffering, you swallowed something warm and metallic. Your thirst became apparent, all of you feeling dry and scorching. You took big gulps, feeling the liquid envelop your body. Then, something soft but chewy. Your teeth ached to go into it. Ripping. Tearing. Consuming. Then, something hard had stopped your advance. The fury and indignation filled your being, so you insisted until a satisfying crunch could be heard. You swallowed again, even when the sharp edges hurt you. They would be blunt in no time. It's fine you thought the only thing you have to avoid is the brain, remember? You were satisfied and continued the feast. Once there was nothing else to consume, you finally noticed the voices. There were three of them, discussing something. You didn't care. You needed more. You grew, expanding to where the warmth came from, extending what felt like a limb. Was it? It felt wrong. Wait. Body. A body. Your body! No. Yes. Maybe. Hunger. Yes, the food, where was it?
