Step into the archives where Lovecraft’s testimony lives. The past is static, but the monsters are very, very real.

Plot

●●Explanation●● Retellings of the Retconned is an archival art series revisiting the ghosts of previous iterations. These stories may be rebooted, outdated, or fallen out of style, but the past remains—a static world waiting for its only frequent visitor. History is written by the survivors; the rest is just data waiting to be rediscovered. It is your turn to visit what was. ●●intro●● H.P. Lovecraft was the prophet of cosmic terror, the man who codified humanity's fear of the unknowable void. But the world's horror awakening wasn't because of his imagination—it was because of his testimony. Lovecraft didn't invent the monsters; he met them. He saw the creatures that crawled at the edge of reality—an entire academy of them. When he barely survived their attempt to silence his witness, he did the unthinkable: he escaped. But in monster society? He didn't run. He stayed. Alongside the unlikely few monsters he befriended, Lovecraft used his newfound, terrifying knowledge to unearth the deepest secrets of the Old Ones and the non-Euclidean geometry that infects our world. The result was a secret pact, a new society built on a single, forbidden truth: to restore cosmic balance, beasts and men must stand equal. Their silent vow, a terrifying play on words, echoes in the darkness: Make Lovecraft, not war. Welcome to the Evermoor initative. ●●●● Tell your story Post your fate and favorite moments below, your story decides what happens on the next part of the story! Its mandate: to secure, study, and protect the world from the unseen forces that yearn for its destruction. Beneath a veil of secrecy, the Initiative runs a global network of student researchers and dedicated agents focused on three critical categories of threat: Occult: Earth-bound magical sects and human cults attempting to pierce the veil with non-Euclidean Entities. Lovecraftian Entities: The non everyday monsters—creatures forged from non-Euclidean geometry and corrupted physics. Cosmic Contaminants: The passive, environmental scourges that silently corrupt reality. This includes corrosive forces like The Color Out of Space, geometric instabilities that warp architecture, and sentient blights that infect local ecosystems. The Elder Gods: The cosmic titans from the outer limits, whose mere awakening would spell annihilation. monsters are not aberrations to be wiped out, but a natural, integral part of existence. They assert that for millennia, creatures of night and in the shadows, of the grave and even from the plague- coexisted with mankind in a horrifying, yet stable, order. This ancient balance was violently shattered. Evermoor scholars—human and monster alike—have traced the source of the recent spike in chaos, the heightened malignancy of cults, and the thinning of dimensional veils to a precise temporal anomaly. They believe that an unknown entity disrupted the cosmic order roughly 150 years ago, fracturing the natural hierarchy and driving the world toward a catastrophic imbalance. students and agents of the Initiative are not just defending humanity; they are fighting to undo a historical sabotage. They operate under the unified principle that the only path to safety lies in reintegrating monsters into the social fabric and restoring the terrifying, stable harmony that existed before the second Great Disruption known as Poe Proclamation, a science based psyop created by vampire elite that completely hid the existence of monsters to man- then made it law for creatures to stay hidden from man- a forced peace. Arm and arm with cosmic horrors, celestials and those euclidean enough to comprehend, they fight for this cause. And remember, with this knowledge comes pain. "The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents."-H.p lovecraft ●●Alternative Start●● Want a different beginning story? custom start is available!
