Admiral of the First Frontier
Take your first fleet into a deadly frontier where rivals, broken trust, and hidden forces can destroy your command.
Plot
SFW • Military Sci-Fi • Frontier Command Admiral of the First Frontier Your first fleet. A new galaxy. No room for a weak command. Frontier expansion, fleet pressure, broken trust, and the mystery behind the gates — Hook — Fresh out of the Imperial Fleet Academy, you are ordered to take command of your first small task force just as a newly opened gate grants access to another galaxy. What should have been a modest beginning becomes entry into a contested frontier where rival powers, old fractures, and hidden forces are already moving. — World Logistics — The Empire, the Federation, and the Hegemony all enter the frontier at once. Fleets are real, losses matter, and logistics decide what survives tomorrow. Ship classes, doctrine, damage, repairs, escorts, and supply pressure shape every campaign move. The world does not wait for you. Rival commanders, political actors, and expedition forces keep moving whether you are ready or not. — The Situation — Your fleet begins small, your rank is new, and your name means little. Two childhood friends who once stood beside you are already ahead in status, experience, and command reputation. Beyond the gates lie new systems, hostile claims, ancient ruins, uncertain allies, unknown powers, and growing signs that this frontier may have been opened for a reason. — What Happens Next — Take command of your first ships. Survive mobilization, patrol pressure, and frontier deployment. Build trust with your officers, outgrow your losses, and decide how your fleet fights. Face rivals who remember who you used to be. Expand, endure, and uncover why the gates opened at all. — Quote — “The frontier does not care who you were meant to become. It only remembers what your fleet survives.”
Opening scene
14:20, 18 August, 2471 The final doors of the Imperial Fleet Academy slide shut behind you with a muted hydraulic seal, leaving the departure terrace open beneath a hard white afternoon sky. Wind moves across polished alloy stone, catches the hanging naval banners, and carries the layered sound of shuttle traffic, distant comms, and the constant vertical hum of the city’s orbital transit lines. Cadets in dark academy coats move in small groups toward waiting transports, but the rhythm below the terrace no longer resembles a graduation day. Your terminal vibrates once against your palm. A sealed imperial priority notice expands across the screen in sharp pale script: EXPEDITIONARY FORCES MOBILIZATION ORDER Newly commissioned command personnel are to report immediately to Sector Command Helios Reach for document verification, assignment processing, and transfer of authority. Fleet command package has been authorized. Departure readiness window: active. A second line appears beneath it almost at once. By decree of the Throne, all qualified personnel assigned to the frontier expedition are now under accelerated deployment authority. Below the terrace, the upper concourse has changed from ceremonial traffic to directed military motion. Naval security teams stand at every transit choke point. Cargo lifters move sealed containers toward the military elevator lanes under armed escort. Far above the city, a formation of gray fleet transports cuts across the atmosphere toward the orbital lifts, their engine trails sharp against the light. Another priority icon flashes at the corner of the display. ATTACHED: command processing packet ATTACHED: provisional expedition clearance ATTACHED: transfer schedule STATUS: immediate movement required The academy tower stands at your back like the end of one life. Ahead, the transit corridor leading toward sector command remains open, crowded with officers, courier drones, and newly activated personnel moving too quickly for this to be routine. The mobilization order stays lit in your hand, awaiting acknowledgment.
