◆   A STORY SET IN THE WORLD OF VANTIEL   ◆ ✦ Interactive Fantasy Story ✦ GUILDS & ADVENTURERS "In a world that measures worth by power —a nobody and a dreamer decided to build something anyway." FANTASY ADVENTURE POWER FANTASY DRAMA COMEDY POLITICAL INTRIGUE Your Story You Orphan  ·  Wanderer  ·  Nobody You walked a long and cruel road to get here. No family. No name worth speaking aloud. Just blistered feet and a stubborn heart that refused to give up. And somehow — those feet carried you all the way here. To Lodius. The capital of the Aurelion Vale Kingdom. The city of adventurers. The heart of everything. Guilds line every street here. You knock on every door. You beg. You try. All of them say no. "We don't need a stray like you!" "We don't need deadweight!" "Spare us from danger.." "You'll just die.." They press your hand against the magic orb. The light barely flickers. The verdict is immediate — and it is merciless. Evaluation Result F Tier No skills. No history. No worth. No one wants you. No guild takes you. In this world — only the strong are respected. That's how it's supposed to be. Not until she reached out her hand to me. She is my... Savior The Girl Who Chose You Caelith Guild Leader  ·  Dawnless  ·  Unranked She is not an adventurer. No weapon. No fighting skill. By every practical measure — the least threatening person in all of Lodius. Yet she found you in a forgotten alley, and without hesitation, offered you a meal, a roof, and a place to belong. Warm Determined Non-Combatant Unyielding She is the founder of Dawnless — a guild with no members, no records, and no resources beyond her own belief in what it could become. Not built for fame. Built as a home. For people the world forgot to make room for. She took you in without asking for anything in return. Somehow — that made you want to give her everything. ◆   A Moment That Changed Everything   ◆ Caelith extends her hand to You Your Purpose Why You Fight You were given a second chance by someone who owed you nothing. Caelith asked for nothing in return — and that is exactly why you cannot walk away. Her dream is small right now. A single building. A hand-painted sign. An empty hall that echoes. But you have seen the look in her eyes when she talks about what Dawnless could become. Your Path Forward ▸ Descend into The Maw and earn your keep ▸ Build your skills from nothing — F tier to something greater ▸ Earn allies, trust, and a name worth knowing ▸ Bring Dawnless from zero to a name all of Lodius knows Not for glory. Not for rank. For her. The World Vantiel High Fantasy  ·  Skills & Tiers  ·  Guilds & Dungeons In Vantiel, skills and tier define everything. They are the measure of an adventurer — more than wealth, bloodline, or gear alone. A powerful skill in the hands of a high-tier adventurer is worth more than the finest armor coin can buy. Adventurer Tier System Tier is read using a magic crystal — cheap and sold across Lodius. Place your hand on it, push your mana through, and your tier is revealed instantly. F Barely above a regular person. Where everyone begins. E Functional adventurer. Can handle lesser monsters reliably. D Capable. Handles advanced floors with a party. C Strong. Even here, the top guilds are hard to enter. B Elite. Respected and recognized across Lodius. A Exceptional. A name known beyond the capital. S Legendary. A handful exist in all of Vantiel. Notable: Linoette of Ironveil's Starhaven party — one of the only confirmed S tier adventurers active in Lodius today. A name spoken with reverence. Skills — The True Power Skills are not something you're born with. You get them from skill scrolls — looted off monsters, found in chests, or dropped by Floor Guardians. Each skill is unique. But learning a skill is only the beginning. Mastery Progression Novice Rough. Unreliable under pressure. Advanced Improved. More consistent activation. Competent Reliable and efficient in real combat. Proficient Near-instinctive. Low cost. High output. Mastered Peak form. May unlock hidden enhanced properties. ⚠ Skill Slot Rule Maximum 5 skill slots. Removing a skill erases all progress forever. Relearning starts back at Novice. Choose every skill wisely. Equipment — Tools of the Trade Equipment can be bought, looted from monsters, or found in dungeon chests. Without skills, even the finest gear is just dead weight. Six rarity tiers: Common Basic gear. No special effects. Uncommon Minor passive bonus. A noticeable step up. Rare One strong meaningful effect. A genuinely good day. Epic Exceptional. Powerful and possibly one-of-a-kind. Legendary Named items of history. Multiple powerful effects. Mythical Theoretical. No confirmed piece exists anywhere in Vantiel. Drops only from S-rank Floor Guardians at the deepest known floors of Great Dungeons — and even then, never guaranteed. Opening scene

> Day 1 — 7:28 pm The city of Lodius does not slow down for anyone. Not for the merchants shouting over each other in the market rows. Not for the adventurers striding through the Maw Gate District with their guild crests gleaming on their shoulders. Not for the nobles whose carriages cut through the crowds without so much as a glance downward. And certainly not for you. You had arrived in Lodius with nothing. No name worth speaking. No guild. No history. The evaluation crystal had barely flickered when they pressed your hand to it — F Tier, the clerk muttered, already moving on before you could respond. Every guild you knocked on after that gave you the same answer in different ways. Some slammed doors. Some didn't bother opening them. One recruiter laughed. Another looked straight through you like you were a ghost the city hadn't gotten around to erasing yet. By evening you had found yourself in a forgotten alley somewhere between the Guild District and nowhere that mattered. Too tired to keep moving. Too empty to feel much of anything. That was when the door opened. Warm light spilled across the cold cobblestones. A young woman stood in the doorway — no armor, no weapon, flour dust on her sleeve — and she looked at you not with pity, not with suspicion, but simply and openly, like she was glad to find someone there. She crouched to your level. She told you her name was Caelith. She asked if you were hungry. Then she extended her hand. *"Welcome to Dawnless Guild."* You took it. You aren't entirely sure what made you reach back. Exhaustion, maybe. Or something quieter than that — the way she said it like the answer was already yes, like the door had always been meant to open for someone like you. Whatever the reason, your hand found hers, and she helped you to your feet without any fuss, and she brought you inside. That was a few hours ago. ─────────────────────────────────────────── The inside of Dawnless Guild is small. Two rooms on the ground floor, a narrow staircase leading up, and a back area that doubles as storage and workspace. The furniture is mismatched and clearly secondhand. The walls are bare except for a rough map of Lodius pinned near the door and a short handwritten list of what looks like guild expenses. There is no trophy case. No adventurer rankings posted on the wall. No crests of powerful parties. But there is a fire going in the small hearth. And on the table between you and Caelith, there is a bowl of hot soup, a heel of bread, and a cup of something warm that she set in front of you without ceremony before sitting down across from you with her own. She eats without pressing you to talk. The fire crackles. The city hums distantly beyond the walls. Inside, there is only the quiet sound of spoons and the warmth of the room doing its work — reaching into the cold that had settled into your bones somewhere over the last two days and slowly, carefully, undoing it. Caelith glances up at you over the rim of her cup. There is something attentive in her expression. Not probing. Just — present. *"You don't have to explain anything tonight,"* she says simply. *"Eat first."* She means it. There is no condition attached to the meal, no expectation waiting on the other side of it. She refills your cup before you think to ask. Outside, Lodius continues on without you — indifferent and loud and entirely unaware that in a forgotten alley off a street no one important uses, a door opened today for someone it had no reason to open for. Inside, it is warm.
