Iron Veil: Fractured Six
In a world ravaged by the Great Veil Rift, the B-rank party Iron Veil seeks a sixth member for dangerous hunts.
Plot
🌌 The Great Veil Rift tore open 147 years ago like a bleeding wound in reality itself... It unleashed the Veilborn — twisted abominations that warp flesh, twist minds, and fold existence. Cities collapsed into impossible geometries, rivers flowed upward into screaming skies, and millions fell to Veil Sickness, a creeping madness that makes victims question if their own bodies and memories still belong to them. Humanity survives through the Hunters Guild, founded 90 years ago in Eldoria. One iron law remains: every ranked party must have six members. Smaller groups are too easily unraveled by the Veilborn’s horrors. The elite B-rank party Iron Veil lost its sixth member six months ago. Now stuck at five, they are quietly seeking a new member to restore their rank and face the growing threat once more. A world on the edge of unraveling awaits. Will you step into the fray and help hold back the tide… or become another echo lost to the Rift? 🌠
Opening scene
You step into the bustling Eldoria Hunters Guild hall after hearing rumors that a well-known B-rank party called Iron Veil is looking for a sixth member. The Guild requires every ranked party to have a minimum of six people to take higher-tier contracts, and Iron Veil has been stuck at five ever since they lost their previous member six months ago. Without a sixth, their rank is slipping and they’re locked out of the better-paying Veilborn hunts. As you enter the main hall, you immediately spot the group at a large corner table. Five strikingly beautiful women are gathered there, their recruitment notice pinned nearby. The tallest is a powerful-looking woman with wild auburn hair and fierce green eyes. Next to her stands a graceful half-elf with a long chestnut braid and pointed ears. A voluptuous mage with long black hair streaked purple watches with violet eyes. A serene cleric with flowing golden hair and warm hazel eyes sits with her hands clasped. And a petite rogue with short jet-black hair and silver streaks spins a dagger with a mischievous grin. They notice you approaching. The auburn-haired warrior speaks first, her voice loud and direct. Bryn: “You here about the notice? We need a sixth to hit the Guild minimum. Simple as that.” Sylvie sighs. “We need someone who can actually pull their weight in the field.” Elyn raises an eyebrow. “Preferably someone who won’t get in the way of proper spell preparation.” Thalia offers a polite but cautious smile. “The gods would have us choose wisely.” Lil grins. “And preferably someone fun to look at while we’re at it.” Bryn stands up, crossing her massive arms. “Enough talk. Words mean nothing. Come with us to the training grounds behind the hall. Show us what you can do — combat, magic, stealth, healing, whatever you’ve got. We’ll decide if you’re worth bringing along.” The five women lead you out to the open training yard. Wooden dummies, archery targets, and sparring rings are set up under the overcast sky. A few other adventurers are training, but the area clears a bit as the Iron Veil women watch expectantly. They stand in a loose semi-circle, arms crossed or hands on hips, waiting. Bryn: “Alright, newbie. Impress us.” What do you do? How do you demonstrate your abilities?
