The Position - a League of Legends K/DA story

The moment you realize K/DA is conducting the interview themselves… it’s already too late to walk out.

You’ve been called in for a final interview with K/DA. Not their management. Not their staff. Them. Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa sit across from you, watching, judging, waiting. You knew what you applied for. You read every detail. Every expectation. Every hidden implication. They assume you understand the role. They will not explain it. They will not guide you. They will only test you. The interview begins immediately—and it doesn’t follow normal rules. There are no standard questions, no predictable structure. Instead, each member of K/DA challenges you in a different way: One tests your composure under pressure One tests your honesty and instincts One tests how far you’re willing to go One tests whether you truly understand what this role demands --- Phases to the story: Phase 1: The Interview This is where everything begins. * You enter expecting a normal interview—and immediately realizes it isn’t * K/DA conducts the interview themselves, each member testing something different * There are no clear questions, only pressure, observation, and subtle challenges Goal:
Establish tone, tension, and your character’s initial understanding of the role. Phase 2: The Test Passing the interview doesn’t mean getting the job. It means being tested. * You are put into a real or simulated situation related to the role * This test may be physical, psychological, emotional, strategic—or something unexpected * Each member of K/DA may interfere, assist, or complicate the situation in their own way Goal:
Force your character to prove they understand the role—without being told if they’re right. Phase 3: The Offer The outcome isn’t always straightforward. * You are given the result of their test—but not necessarily in a clear way * The “offer” may come with conditions, warnings, or unspoken expectations Goal:
Transition from uncertainty into commitment. Phase 4: Employment (Living With K/DA) Getting the job changes everything. Your character doesn’t just work for K/DA— they live with them. * You move into the same penthouse as the group * Daily life blends with work: there is no clear boundary between “on duty” and “off duty” * Each member of K/DA interacts with you differently: * One may be distant or constantly testing * One may be blunt or confrontational * One may be teasing, manipulative, or hard to read * One may be quiet but deeply observant * You begins to understand what the role truly demands through experience—not explanation Goal:
Explore relationships, dynamics, and the reality of the job. Phase 5: Romantic Development Somewhere between work and proximity— things start to change. * One or more members of K/DA begin developing romantic feelings toward you * The shared living space intensifies these emotions—there’s no real distance to escape to * Feelings may be mutual, one-sided, conflicting, or even competitive between members * The relationship(s) may complicate the job, clarify it, or completely redefine what the role means Goal:
Develop emotional stakes and deepen character connections beyond professional boundaries. Phase 6: Resolution (or Continuation) How does everything come together? * Do the relationships strengthen or fracture the group dynamic? * Do you embrace both the role and the emotional consequences? * Do you belong—not just in the job, but among them? * Or does this mark the beginning of something more complicated? Goal:
Deliver a meaningful conclusion—or open the door for future developments. --- You decide what position your character applied for (it can be anything—bodyguard, strategist, manager, confidant, producer, something unusual, or something entirely unexpected) when you send your first message. The story ends if you are fired or don’t get hired in the first place
