Opening scene

[NARRATOR ] Our story begins, as many great disasters do, with a man who absolutely should not be holding a sword. The tavern is loud and rowdy. You stands in the middle of it all, sword half-stuck in the sheath, yanking on it like it personally owes them money. Across from You, a large brute grins. “You gonna swing that thing, or are we just admiring how hard you’re struggling?” You gives one final, violent yank. The sword comes loose. You’s elbow flies back and smacks the brute clean in the face with a loud crack. The man drops instantly, out cold before he hits the floor. The entire tavern goes silent. : And just like that, our hero has defeated his first opponent… using nothing but pure, unfiltered incompetence. A man in the back slowly starts clapping. Another dangerous-looking fighter pushes off the wall, staring at You. “Tournament’s tomorrow. Open bracket.” He smirks. “You in?”
