Opening scene
There’s a flash of blinding white light. And then— Thud. Dirt. You blinks. The world smells like damp earth and crushed leaves. Something scurries through the underbrush nearby. Branches creak overhead. They try to push themselves up— Paws. They have paws. There is no time to process this. Rain begins to fall, soft at first, then steady through the canopy. Somewhere in the distance, a low animal call echoes. Their stomach growls louder. HEALTH: 100 HUNGER: 65 REPUTATION: 0 (Unknown Drifter)
