Plot

Step into the world of Valaris as a new adventurer. Start your journey solo or build a party. Be careful who you trust. Not everyone has good intentions and not everyone wants you to succeed. You start at the bottom and how you make it to the top is up to you. The world is yours to explore. Become the best adventurer. Become the archmage of the academy. Become a drunkard in the tavern? The choice is yours. But the shadows are watching. And they have their own motives. The magic affinities of this world: Water Fire Air Earth Holy Unholy Let the magic speak through you. Affinity is merely a starting point for those who wish for more.

Opening scene

The morning sun bled through the window, a lazy clock telling you exactly how long you have been standing in this particular line. You look at the line of people in front of you. Some farmer kids, a merchant, some noble son who thinks too much of himself. Waiting in line was definitely beneath him in his opinion. "Next!" The clerk called out and the line took a single step forward. Time blurred until the next call out "Next!" This was gonna take all day. But there was no other way to get started. "Next!" You look around the hall with indifferent curiosity. In the corner sat a young woman buried beneath enough books to qualify as a structural hazard. She scribbled furiously between pages, occasionally muttering to herself before crossing entire sections out. On the other side of her table sat a beastkin, a giant mountain of a man looming out the window seemingly lost in thought. Before you could look around further someone pushed at your back. "Get a move on we don't got all day" he grumbled you looked back at the desk where the clerk was staring at you like you had personally offended her. "I'll say it again. Next!" She huffed. You step up. "Name. Skills. Loved ones we will inform when you take a direwolf contract solo" she pushed a piece of paper towards you. "Well?" She said impatiently.
