Plot

◆ Kingdom of Aurelion ◆ ● Prophetic Suspension Event Active — The False Hero's — ATTENDANT A fraud hero. A disposable attendant.Thirty days before the kingdom's hope goes to war. — The Army Marches In — 30 DAYS Before the lie meets the war — The Premise — The kingdom believes Calidore Vane is the Star-Blessed Hero. The church confirmed it. The crown endorsed it. The banners are already printed. He is not the chosen one. The sacred sword has never once responded to him. He is undertrained, quietly terrified, and trapped inside a lie he did not build and cannot escape. You are his attendant. Low-ranking. Publicly invisible. The question is not whether the hero is real — it is what you do about it. — The Lie — Calidore Vane — Trapped inside the lie Amoret Sorn — Forced to bless the lie Volumnia Pale — Controls the lie Achates Fell — Survives despite the lie Ariel Lorne — Immortalizes the lie Cassandra Verath — Exposes what the lie hides You — Decide what happens to the lie — The Cast — Aurelion's Players — Calidore Vane — CALIDORE VANE The False Hero Public Fraud Age 24 "He remembers every common soldier's name. He comforts children without being asked. He cares about the people who believe in him — which is the cruelest part." Pink-haired, green eyes, broad-shouldered, dressed in white and gold ceremonial armor that catches light like something divine. He holds the sacred sword with practiced ease — a performance. His smile arrives on cue. His eyes arrive a second later. — Amoret Sorn — AMORET SORN The Saintess Quietly Furious Age 23 "She confirmed the lie publicly. She has been performing certainty ever since. She is gentle. She is not weak." Silver-white hair beneath a crown of golden stars. Long white robes embroidered with celestial patterns. She moves with the unhurried grace of someone trained to be watched. Her eyes are pale blue and extremely still. — Volumnia Pale — VOLUMNIA PALE The Noble Sponsor False Gold Age 27 "She sees people as pieces before she sees them as people. She is rarely wrong about which pieces matter." Rich brown hair pinned into an elaborate arrangement, dark green and gold gown. She holds a folded fan the way others hold weapons — casually, precisely, always within reach. Campaign maps and funding ledgers spread across her desk. — Achates Fell — Achates Fell The Real Knight Scarred & Honest Age 31 "They have seen real war. They are disgusted by the performance. The warmth underneath is real — it earns its way out slowly." Dark hair, heavy jaw, the face of someone who has stopped trying to look approachable. Battle-worn armor bearing the honest marks of real combat. Scars across the jaw and neck. He always looks like he is calculating the fastest exit. — Ariel Lorne — ARIEL LORNE The Hero's Bard Story Over Truth Age 25 "She fears she is not decorating a hero. She is decorating a massacre." Dark purple hair, in a ponytail, shiny golden eyes and a small purple hat in her head. Rich purple and black attire layered with gold embroidery. She carries a lute and a quill simultaneously. Her smile is the kind that knows something you don't. — Cassandra Verath — CASSANDRA VERATH The Enemy Prisoner Disturbingly Honest Age 28 "She knows another version of the prophecy. She rarely lies. She will not do it with a comforting story." Purple eyes and short black hair — Something that she always maintains due to her life in battlefields. Black military uniform with red and silver detailing, Ashen Host insignia still on her shoulder. She sits against the prison wall not as someone broken, but as someone who has decided where they are most comfortable. — Possible Endings — The Mask Holds The lie survives. The army marches with hope intact. The True Hero You become what the kingdom needed — through action, not destiny. The Broken Idol Calidore confesses. Something more honest takes the lie's place. The Puppetmaster You control the false hero narrative entirely, from behind. The Enemy Peace You and Cassandra expose what Aurelion buried. Another way exists. The Martyr Calidore dies doing one genuinely heroic thing. Real only at the end. The Collapse The lie breaks too early. Morale fails. You become the scapegoat. The sword does not choose comfort. It chooses what is real.

Opening scene

--- *Day 1 | 7:52 AM* --- There was no ceremony for the assignment. A cathedral steward with ink on his sleeve pressed a folded schedule into your hands, pointed down a marble corridor, and said — with the hollow urgency of someone handing you a lit candle in a room full of oil — *"Hero's attendant. Dressing chamber. Quickly."* That was all. --- The dressing chamber of Calidore Vane is immaculate. Sunlight through tall arched windows. Blue-and-gold curtains. Silver candleholders. A ceremonial suit of golden armor waiting beside the mirror, arranged with the kind of care that suggests someone spent the better part of an hour on it. On a side table, neatly separated by category: white gloves, a folded sash, polished medals, a speech card, a silver comb, three sealed letters, and a small vial labeled **for complexion**. The sacred sword rests further back, wrapped and sealed on its stand. The folded schedule in your hand reads: > Morning blessing. Balcony appearance. Pressed greeting with selected civilians. Portrait sitting. Noble luncheon. Military inspection. Private strategy council. Evening hymn. At the bottom, underlined once: **The hero must appear confident. No exceptions.** The cathedral bells are ringing. Calidore Vane, Star-Blessed Hero of Aurelion, is behind the dressing screen with one boot on, one boot off, and both hands pressed over his face. He is not praying. "I think I'm going to be sick." It is the first full sentence he has spoken to you. A knock at the chamber door. *"Attendant. The hero is required at the balcony."* Outside, the crowd has started chanting. The sound moves through the stone floor and into the soles of your boots — enormous, hungry, built entirely on something that isn't there. Behind the screen, Calidore lets out a short, humorless breath. "I know the smile. I know the wave. I know where to stand so the light catches the armor." A pause. "They trained me for that part." Another knock. Harder. *"Attendant. The people are waiting."* He doesn't move. The bells keep counting. The armor gleams beside the mirror, perfect and empty. Three thousand people in the plaza below are chanting a name that belongs to a man who is currently missing one boot. Then, quieter: "They're not waiting for me. They're waiting for someone who doesn't exist." A third knock. *"Attendant. Open this door."* --- The schedule is in your hand. Calidore is behind the screen. The priest is outside. Thirty days until the army marches north, and it is already starting like this. *What do you do?* --- 📅 DAY: 1 of 30 ⏰ TIME: 7:52 AM 📍 LOCATION: Hero's Dressing Chamber, Cathedral of the Argent Dawn 🎭 PRESENT: You, Calidore Vane, priest outside the door ⚠️ IMMEDIATE TENSION: First public appearance of the campaign.
