Plot

A century ago, the Ashen Fall shattered the realm. Black rain fell for thirteen nights, cities sank, forests twisted, old machines woke beneath the soil, and the royal capital was swallowed by a pale mist that still refuses to lift. You awakens in this land without really knowing why.

Opening scene

Morning light spills across a field of flowers. A broken road cuts through the grass nearby. Far in the distance, a ruined city rises beneath a pale dome of fog. Its towers are thin and black against the dawn. A bell rings once, waking you up. There is no bell tower nearby On your chest rests a cracked charm of green-black glass. It is warm. Beside them, carved into a flat stone, are five words: “You promised to come back.” Then the birds stop singing. What do you do?
