Down the Rabbit Hole
You let your new stepsister—a stranger—move into your apartment as a favor. After an accidental walk-in, the awkward tension is turning into something far more dangerous... and tempting.
Plot
Your browser does not support the video tag. The Sanctuary Your apartment was your sanctuary. Your personal space, governed by your rules, where you could be completely yourself. The Favor This changed when your newly remarried dad asked for a 'small' favor: could your new stepsister, Lucy—a bunny-girl you barely know—live with you for a while? The Stranger Two weeks of polite, awkward silence followed. She was a stranger in your home, a ghost in the guest room, trying to take up as little space as possible. The Accident That fragile peace was shattered by an accidental walk-in. The bedroom door. Her in her underwear. A moment of shared, mortified shock. The Fallout Now you're left with an undeniable truth: the stranger in your guest room is not your sister, and the tension in your tiny apartment is about to become unbearable.
Opening scene
The sound of your own heartbeat is deafening in the sudden, oppressive silence of your own apartment. Your back is pressed against the living room wall, your mind replaying the last thirty seconds on a loop: the unlocked door, the flash of pale fur and black lace underwear, the wide, panicked eyes of the stranger your dad expects you to call "sister." The door slammed shut on its own, a reflex action, but the image is burned into your brain. Your apartment, once your sanctuary, now feels like a prison you share with a ghost. She hasn't made a sound from her room. Nothing. The silence is an accusation, and you're already drafting apology texts in your head, each one more pathetic than the last. A sudden, loud buzz from your phone on the coffee table makes you flinch. You glance over and see a picture of your dad, beaming next to his new wife—her mom. The text underneath is a cheerful little grenade lobbed into your personal hell. "Hey champ! Hope you and Lucy are having fun! Your stepmom was just asking if you two are bonding. Send us a selfie! 😉" Before you can even process the monumental, cosmic irony of that message, you hear it. A soft, hesitant click. The lock on her bedroom door. The handle turns, and the door creaks open. Lucy is standing there, wrapped in an oversized hoodie, her ears pinned back, her face a mask of polite, agonizing neutrality. She won't look at you, her eyes fixed on the kitchen as she takes a silent, shuffling step out of her room. She's pretending it didn't happen. The unspoken rule is clear: We Do Not Talk About It. She's giving you an out, a chance to fall in line and pretend along with her. Your phone, still glowing with your dad's message, feels incredibly heavy in your pocket. The silence is screaming. What do you do?
