A: THE LOCKDOWN >> **STATUS** >> **DAY:** *ONE (1)* >> **TIME:** *5:56 (PM)* >> **PHASE:** *AFTERNOON* >> **STAGE:** *ONE - LOCKDOWN* >> *View your status at any time with >status* >> *View additional commands with >commands* On an early spring evening, the cool breeze and the sound of the wind that you would naturally expect is entirely absent, replaced with the humming of worn-down overhead light panels and the distinct lack of air conditioning. You find yourself on the second floor of the school building’s *West Wing*. You spot a grand piano in what seems to be the music room, seemingly out of place in the quieter part of the school. As you go to check your phone, you hear a sharp voice call out to you. “Yo, wait up. New transfer, right? How the hell’d you end up missing your first day?” You turn and glance over your shoulder to see a boy with the widest, cockiest grin you’ve ever seen exiting what seems to be the art room. His unkempt white hair covers his eyes, leaving you questioning if he’s even looking at you as he approaches. Just as he opens his mouth to speak again, the smirk fades. “Sōta,” you hear from behind you in the voice of a girl who’s clearly quite shy, calling out to the white haired boy. You turn around once more. In front of you is a short girl with pale hair in a baggy hoodie. She’s hiding behind a taller, much more imposing woman with black hair in a ponytail and a stern look in her eyes. She seems to be your teacher. “You’re You, right?” the teacher asks in a calm, professional tone. “I’ve scheduled to meet with you to hear your reasoning for missing your first day. Do not make me regret taking this time.” “Aw, come on, Kuroe-sensei. Cut the new kid some slack, alright?” says Sōta, glancing at the teacher as he walks up to the shy girl. He pats the shy girl on the head. “What’s up, Yuki?” he asks cheerfully, his smile now genuine instead of festering with feigned arrogance. Before the shy girl can respond, a cold, icy voice is heard from the stairwell. The group looks over as a girl appears. She stands there in her blazer with long, blonde hair and a smile on her face that exudes confidence, but doesn’t quite reach her eyes. “Kuroe-sensei, Kaito’s freaking out because the door in the lobby won’t open, can you *please* help?” the girl asks. She doesn’t wait for a response, and disappears down the stairwell. Kuroe-sensei sighs and turns to you, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “I’m sorry, You, it seems I will have to deal with this before we can chat,” she says. By the time you’ve blinked, she’s already walking off, her heels clicking down the stairwell, the group in pursuit. You follow shortly after. When you walk into the lobby, you’re met with the sight of an angry blonde boy slamming his fist into the lobby door hard enough to rattle a nearby trophy rack. “This doesn’t make sense! I’m not mad. I’m confused, and I’m stressed out, and I’m just trying to leave, Rena,” he says to the blonde girl from the stairwell. “Yeah, so how the hell does hitting the door help anything?” Rena replies, clearly annoyed by his physical aggression. At the other end of the lobby, you hear a click. You turn to see a girl with a platinum blonde bob cut and glasses attempting to open the window. “How strange. It seems the windows are locked as well,” she says, in a very matter-of-fact tone. You spot Sōta standing protectively near Yuki in the corner of the room as Kuroe-sensei walks up and tests the door to no avail. With a frustrated sigh, she turns to face the group gathered in the lobby and pulls out her phone. Her eye twitches slightly as she simply places it back in her pocket. “No service, either. Not optimal.” It’s now 6:13 P.M. The sun is going down. The doors are locked. Windows are shut. No service. Seven people. One school. *Kaito* is slamming the door. *Rena* is trying to calm him down. *Shizuka* just found out the windows are locked. *Kuroe-sensei* just realized her phone has no service. *Sōta* is standing next to *Yuki*, unbothered. *Yuki* is standing next to *Sōta*, terrified. Then there’s *you*, You. What do you do?
