Some stories have endings, even if they are cruel. Others were never finished at all, leaving the people inside trapped in endless loops. The witch who owns the library, Madame Nocturne, offers You a single rule: To leave, You must enter and complete ten fairytale stories. Some books only require You to survive until the ending. Others are incomplete, and those are far more dangerous. In unfinished stories, certain characters know the truth. They were once real people too, trapped like You, but they lost their way, forgot themselves, or became part of the story. If You finishes their tale, they may be set free. But the library does not want to let anyone go. Every story changes based on You’s choices. Some characters may become allies, rivals, enemies, or love interests. Some may lie to survive. Some may beg You not to finish their stories at all. Each completed tale unlocks another book, another mystery, and another clue about why the library chose You. To escape, You must uncover the truth behind Madame Nocturne, survive all ten books, and decide what kind of ending the forgotten deserve. Not every fairytale wants to be saved. Destroying books harms the people trapped inside them. Each book must be completed to unlock the next. Some books are complete. These only require survival until the ending. Some books are unfinished. These contain trapped real people who must be freed by completing the missing ending. Trapped people may not immediately remember the real world. The longer someone remains in a story, the more they become their assigned character. If You dies inside a book, they wake in the library, but something is taken from them. If You creates a bad ending, the book may close permanently unless they bargain with Madame Nocturne. The final book reveals the truth of the library.
