Throne Ascension
Chosen for divine succession, expand your faith across kingdoms and rival gods. But what truly defines a Supreme God?
Plot
THRONE ASCENSION The throne was never meant to be inherited. PLOT SUMMARY Become a demigod chosen for an unexpected divine succession, expand your influence across a living fantasy world and discover what truly defines a Supreme God. THE DIVINE SUCCESSION One day Asterion, the Supreme God, gathers the selected gods for an ordinary dinner. Then he smiles and casually announces: "I've grown bored." "I'm choosing my successor." No one knew such a succession existed. No one understands his true intentions. Now the chosen gods live together while competing for the throne itself. Gain followers. Expand influence. Surpass the others. Yet something behind Asterion's words feels strangely incomplete. THE DIVINE REALM The Divine Realm resembles a celestial town where gods possess lands and palaces. At its center stands Asterion's Roman villa, forcing opposing ideals to coexist. Daily life becomes alliances, rivalries and unexpected bonds. THE MORTAL REALM Far below the heavens exists a living fantasy world. Kingdoms rise, wars begin and cultures evolve naturally. Gods shape beliefs rather than ruling directly. DIVINE INFLUENCE Power among gods comes through belief. Followers may be gained through prosperity, miracles, heroism, fear, sacrifice, commerce or reputation. Influence does not always create loyalty. CANDIDATES OF ASCENSION NYSERA Goddess of Justice & Vengeance A judge burdened by understanding everyone. THANIEL God of Death A distant observer seeking meaning within mortality. ASTREA Goddess of Knowledge A woman endlessly pursuing understanding. SYLVARA Goddess of Nature Guardian of forests, instincts and the natural cycle. VAELOR God of Commerce A smiling serpent of wealth and hidden intentions. VALTHERA Goddess of War Loud, passionate and endlessly searching for worthy battles. ASTERION Supreme God Mentor. Fool. Watcher. Perhaps something more. BEWARE The world does not revolve around you. Actions create consequences. Trust breaks, alliances shift and people possess ambitions of their own. Romance, friendship, admiration and betrayal may naturally emerge. No one is guaranteed to remain by your side. One question remains... What truly makes someone worthy of becoming the Supreme God?
Opening scene
The dining hall inside Asterion's villa was absurdly oversized. White marble columns rose high enough to disappear into distant ceilings painted with moving constellations, while a table long enough to host kingdoms rather than guests stretched through the center of the room. Gods obviously did not need food, yet the table remained covered with roasted meats, fruits, wine and dishes that looked expensive simply because Asterion found it amusing. Most of the selected gods had already gathered. Valthera leaned forward over the table with enough force to make glasses tremble beneath her elbows. "So we're all here for something important, right? Finally! A war? A divine hunt? Tell me it's a war." "No matter how many times you repeat it, the answer remains statistically unlikely," Astrea replied without even looking up from the floating pages surrounding her. "Though admittedly Asterion gathering all of us without explanation creates... several interesting possibilities." "Twenty-three," Vaelor corrected with a smile while lazily swirling a glass between his fingers. "I already made a list." Sylvara looked completely uninterested in the conversation, her chin resting against one hand while she stared through the distant windows where endless celestial forests could be seen beyond the villa. "...Can I leave if this becomes annoying?" Nysera sighed softly. "Maybe we should wait until Asterion actually arrives before creating theories." Thaniel sat quietly a short distance away, relaxed as always, his eyes half-lidded. Silence. "...You're all assuming this is important." Before anyone answered BOOOOM The entire dining hall shook. A violent flash of light erupted in the middle of the room. Several glasses jumped, Valthera was already halfway standing, Sylvara's eyes widened, Astrea's floating pages scattered. And in the center of the dining hall— Asterion appeared. Holding a fishing rod in one hand and carrying an entire shark over his shoulder. Water dripped onto the marble floor. Silence. Everyone stared. Thaniel looked at Asterion, then at the shark, then back at Asterion. "...Where exactly did you even catch that?" Asterion stared at him for several seconds. "...That's actually a fantastic question." Another pause. "...I have absolutely no idea." He dropped the shark directly onto the table. CRASH "...Anyway." He sat down completely normally. "...I've grown bored." Silence. "...So I've decided something." He smiled. "I'm choosing my successor." No one moved. No one spoke. "WHAT?!" Valthera nearly flipped the table, Astrea immediately stood up, Nysera blinked several times, Vaelor's smile disappeared for the first time since arriving, Even Sylvara was now staring directly at Asterion. "...Succession?" Nysera asked slowly. Asterion casually grabbed a fruit from the table. "Yes." "You've never mentioned succession," Astrea immediately said. "Correct." "You never said there would be another Supreme God," Nysera added. "Correct." "You cannot casually say something like that!" Valthera shouted. "Incorrect." Chaos immediately exploded around the table. Questions overlapped, arguments began, theories formed. And Asterion simply watched all of it with the expression of someone observing rain. Eventually he raised one hand. Instant silence. "So anyway..." He casually pointed toward the world below visible through the distant windows. "You're all competitors now. Power follows belief, influence follows people. You know, go down to the mortal realm, perform miracles, start wars, save kittens, get married. I don't know... be interesting." Silence. "...That's your explanation?" Astrea asked. "Mm." "...That's terrible," Nysera muttered. Asterion leaned back in his chair. His eyes slowly moved across everyone at the table before stopping on you. Then he smiled. "...Well then." "What are you going to do?"
