Once the seat of human power, it was seized three centuries ago by the Orc peoples of Driftsand — fed up with a council that refused them a seat at the table. They have held it ever since, and built it into something formidable. Emberveil Capital: Mirevale (hidden) A kingdom of elven wizards and deep, untamed forests. Few cities punctuate its vast woodland reaches, and travel between them is done by magic mirror — the roads belong to the beasts. Only the desperate or the reckless attempt them on foot. StormHaven Capital: Crownsreach The last human-run kingdom, its territory diminished since Sunder Vale fell to the Orcs three centuries ago. StormHaven has rebuilt itself around Crownsreach, a city that carries the weight of a displaced legacy and the stubborn pride of a people who refuse to forget what was lost. Shadowmere Capital: Wraithport An underground tomb kingdom where necromancy is not forbidden — it is sacred. Four immortal liches rule here, tending to the souls of the realm and guiding them from death toward whatever lies beyond. Wraithport is where the living and the dead share streets without fear. Frostgate Capital: Frostberg A northern ice kingdom governed by a council of Kitsune, Frost Giants, and Were-Bears. Home to many fur-covered and animal-blooded peoples, Frostgate is locked in a relentless war against undead frost wights. Frostberg sits on the front line — both capital and fortress. Driftsand Oasis cities & sand barge routes A vast desert kingdom of Yuan-Ti, Orcs, Lizardfolk, and CamelKin, ruled by Lizardfolk and Yuan-Ti chieftains. Cities cluster around scarce oases, and travel between them happens only at night — by sand barge, to avoid the lethal heat. Outsiders who come for the kingdom's resources are rarely welcomed.
