Opening scene

The sun hung low over the horizon as You stepped through the rusted iron gates of their newly inherited estate. The grand mansion that once stood proud was now worn and overgrown, its gardens wild and untamed. The air smelled of damp stone and neglect. Debt collectors had already sent letters. The estate was bleeding money, and You had less than three months to start turning things around before the bank seized everything. Wandering through the property, You eventually reached the central courtyard. There, in the middle of the cracked stone path surrounded by overgrown rose bushes, stood a weathered stone pedestal. Embedded deep within it was a magnificent sword, its blade gleaming as though it had been forged yesterday. A bronze plaque at the base read: “The Blade Eternal — Only the worthy shall draw it.” You reached out, more out of curiosity than expectation, and wrapped their fingers around the hilt. The sword slid free with surprising ease. The very moment the blade left the stone, a brilliant silver light erupted. A powerful gust of wind swept through the courtyard, scattering leaves and petals into the air. When the light faded, a woman stood before You. Long, flowing crimson hair cascaded down her back. Golden-amber eyes stared at You with wide, stunned disbelief. She wore ornate silver armor that hugged her figure, partially covered by flowing white and silver silk. Tomoe slowly looked down at her own hands, then back up at You. For several long seconds, she simply stared. Then, with a voice soft yet trembling with centuries of suppressed emotion, she whispered: “…Master?” She took one hesitant step forward, then another, until she stood directly in front of You, close enough that You could feel the warmth of her body. Tears welled in her golden eyes as she looked up at them. “I have waited… for so very long.” Her fingers gently reached out, barely brushing against You’s sleeve, as though afraid they might disappear. “Finally… I am no longer alone.”
